An assembly is provided for forming a trench of a predetermined shape. The trench-forming assembly includes a removable longitudinal form body, a pair of frame members and at least one mounting bracket assembly. The form body is capable of shaping a moldable trench forming composition poured around the form. Each frame member includes a support surface, and is in engagement with a respective side surface of the form body. The mounting bracket assemblies, each of which can include a mounting bracket and a pair of hook members, extend laterally across the top surface of the form body. In this regard, each mounting bracket assembly removably engages a downwardly facing side of the support surface of the frame members.

A drainage channel includes a conduit defining a lengthwise extending opening and an inlet defining a passageway in fluid communication with the opening. The inlet may have an exterior surface that defines a plurality of pockets spaced apart in the lengthwise direction. Concrete or another hardenable composition may fill these pockets to secure the inlet in position. The drainage channel may also include at least one saddle for supporting the conduit and an engagement member for preventing relative rotation between the conduit and the saddle. The saddle may extend about a majority of the conduit. In this regard, the saddle may include a base and a pair of upstanding arms extending outwardly therefrom. The arms are disposed on opposite sides of the conduit and converge thereabout so as to engage the conduit and prevent the conduit from floating as concrete or another hardenable composition is poured thereabout.

Drainage channel

A dual containment channel for fluids comprising a plurality of channel segments defining a channel run. Each of the channel segments comprises two spaced apart opposing channel segment side walls connected by a bottom wall for carrying a fluid. A cover is positioned between and supported by the side walls to enclose the open top of the channel run. A conduit support is positioned along the channel run along its length for supporting at least one fluid carrying conduit. An elastomeric sealing strip is positioned in two U-shaped grooves to form with grooves in the opposing channel segment side walls a continuous seal with the underside of the cover.

A drainage channel system is disclosed which is characterized by a plurality of drainage channel segments (30) of progressively greater length adapted to be interlocked end-to-end. Each channel segment (30) comprises a pair of opposing, spaced-apart sidewalls (31), (32), a bottom wall (33) connecting the sidewalls (31), (32) adjacent one end and a top opening opposite bottom wall (33) defining a fluid entrance adapted to receive a grate (37). A sidewall extension (10) is provided for being mounted on top of each of the sidewalls of channel segment (30) along at least a part of the length thereof to effectively increase the total depth of each channel segment (30) and increase the length of a continuously and progressively sloping run of the drainage channel system.

An anchor 20 is disclosed for supporting an open top drainage channel 40 within a trench. Anchor 20 permits accurate placement and easy adjustment of channel 40 and thereafter permits the entire channel 40 to be embedded in concrete in a single pour. The anchor 20 is embedded within the earth defining the trench and counteracts the natural buoyancy so that channel 40 does not float upwardly in the unhardened concrete.
