This invention relates to indole derivatives which have anti-cancer activity. According to the invention there is provided an indole derivative of the formula I: ##STR1## in which X is an oxygen or sulphur atom, Ra is a phenyl radical which is optionally substituted by one or two groups selected from halogen atoms and 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C alkoxy and trifluoromethyl radicals and Rb is a hydrogen atom or a 2-6C alkoxycarbonyl radical. Manufacturing processes and pharmaceutical compositions are also described.

Amino, cyano phenylthio or phenoxyl indole derivatives

The disclosure relates to novel luliberin analogues which possess luliberin agonist activity, to processes for their manufacture and to compositions containing them. Typical of the peptides disclosed is ##STR1## in which A is D-Phe, D-Tyr(Me) or D-Ser(Bu.sup.t).

Polypeptide

The disclosure relates to a method of returning cycling female mammals to the beginning of a new oestrous cycle by administering to them a known prostaglandin synthetase inhibitor, for example indomethacin, and a known luteolytic prostaglandin, for example cloprostenol or fluprostenol, and compositions containing those two components together.
