A user device, UE, for a wireless communication system is described. The wireless communication system has a plurality of user devices, UEs. The UE communicates with one or more further UEs using a sidelink, SL. To operate in a Discontinuous Reception, DRX, mode, the UE receives a DRX configuration from one of a plurality of DRX configuration sources. The plurality of DRX configuration sources are ranked such that each of the DRX configuration sources has a rank different from the remaining DRX configuration sources, and the UE is to select the DRX configuration from the DRX configuration source having the highest rank among the available DRX configuration sources.

An apparatus for a wireless communication system is connected to at least one user device (UE) via a sidelink for a sidelink communication. For a unicast transmission, the apparatus transmits a sidelink frame having a certain frame duration. A first part of the sidelink frame includes a control signaling. The control signaling indicates to the UE whether a feedback is to be returned to the apparatus. The feedback indicates a successful reception of data at the UE or a sidelink channel condition. If a feedback is desired, the apparatus transmits in the first part of the frame, using the control signaling, an indication that the feedback is to be provided by the UE such that a duration of the control signaling is shorter, by a remaining duration, than the frame duration, and receives from the UE, during the remaining duration, the feedback.

Sidelink feedback

A transceiver is configured for communicating in a wireless communication network being operated so as to schedule communication in a plurality of transmission time intervals, each transmission time interval including a plurality of resource elements arranged in a time-frequency grid. Each transmission time interval includes a control section and a data section. The transceiver is configured for transmitting, using a resource in the control section, the resource in the control section containing a reservation information indicating that the transceiver reserves a specific resource in a future transmission time interval.

Transceivers and method for operating the same

A base station for a wireless communication network is provided. The wireless communication network includes a plurality of base stations, each base station to serve one or more users. One or more users are served by a plurality of base stations to receive a first data signal from the base station and a second data signal from at least one further base station using multi-user superposition transmission, MUST. The base station includes a backhaul interface for a communication with one or more of the plurality of base stations of the wireless communication network. For transmitting the first data signal to one or more users served by the base station and by the further base station, the base station is configured to negotiate a MUST setting with the further base station via the backhaul interface, and map data of the first data signal using a first transmit constellation set according to the negotiated MUST setting.

Concepts for transmitting data to one or more users

An apparatus, for wideband communication with one or more transceivers in a wireless communication system using one or more subbands of a predefined wideband, is configured to perform initial Listen-Before-Talk, LBT, for each subband of the predefined wideband so as to determine from the predefined wideband one or more non-occupied subbands on which the wideband communication is allowed during a certain transmission time, and during the certain transmission time, transmit to and/or receive from the transceiver using the non-occupied subbands. NR-U wideband enhancements

In the field of mobile communication systems, techniques relating to checking or verifying if information sent by a transmitter has been correctly received at a receiver so as to initiate a retransmission in case of a non-successful transmission of the information are described. Embodiments relate to simultaneous synchronous and asynchronous HARQ, hybrid automatic repeat request, operations in a network entity of the wireless communication system, like a base station or a user equipment, UE. In particular, an approach for reliably handling retransmissions in a wireless communication system for data or information associated with different services types is described.

Low latency HARQ protocol for URLLC services

A data communication apparatus, for transmitting one or more blocks of data within a frame including a two-dimensional grid of transmission symbol positions is configured to select a group of transmission symbol positions, which is a subset of the two-dimensional grid of transmission symbol positions, for a transmission of a data portion. The data communication apparatus is configured to select one or more reference symbol positions associated to the selected group of transmission symbol positions, out of a plurality of possibilities, based on an information describing a desired relative position of the reference symbol position with respect to the selected group of transmission symbol positions. Other apparatuses also use a flexible selection of transmission symbol positions and a flexible selection of reference symbol positions. A system, methods and computer programs are also described.

Data communication apparatuses, data communication system and methods using reference symbols

An apparatus for a wireless communication system is configured to be connected to at least one user device, UE, of the wireless communication system via a sidelink for a sidelink communication with the at least one UE. For a unicast transmission to the UE, the apparatus is configured to transmit a sidelink frame having a certain frame duration, a first part of the sidelink frame including a control signaling, the control signaling indicating to the UE whether a feedback is to be returned to the apparatus, the feedback indicating a successful reception of data at the UE and/or a sidelink channel condition. In case the feedback from the UE is desired, the apparatus is configured to transmit in the first part of the frame, using the control signaling, the indication that the feedback is to be provided by the UE such that a duration of the control signaling is shorter, by a remaining duration, than the frame duration, and receive from the UE, during the remaining duration, the feedback.

In a communication system, a transmitter is configured to change a transmission characteristic used for the communication with a receiver, wherein a receiver is configured to determine a reception quality of a communication link between the transmitter and the receiver and to transmit a feedback information to the transmitter indicating whether a reception quality has changed or in which direction the reception quality has changed, or whether a transmission characteristic should be maintained, wherein the transmitter is configured to further change the transmission characteristic used for the communication with the receiver in dependence on the feedback information received from the receiver.
