A draft deflector for a sliding or sliding-lifting vehicle roof structure such as a sunroof includes a base body, which guarantees dimensional stability and strength, and flexible plastics elements secured to the base body. The flexible elements reduce vibration, wind noise or both. In some examples, the flexible elements are injection molded onto the base body at all locations which are relevant in terms of noise generation.

Draft deflector for an opening of a motor vehicle roof

A vehicle roof comprises a roof opening, a cover which can be raised and is provided for closing the roof opening, and a cover liner which can be positioned underneath the cover. The vehicle roof further comprises a linkage provided between the cover and the cover liner, by which the cover and the cover liner can be coupled to each other during raising the cover and by which a rear edge of the cover liner is lifted during raising the cover. The linkage has a drag lever which swivels during raising the cover. The drag lever is supported in a swivel bearing on the side of the vehicle roof and has a first bearing for connection with the cover as well as a second bearing for connection with the cover liner. The swivel bearing on the side of the vehicle roof and in the raised state of the cover lies underneath the first bearing for connection with the cover and is mounted to a guide by means of which the swivel bearing on the side of the vehicle roof is moved upwards during raising the cover.

A sliding roof for a motor vehicle comprises a shiftable cover arranged for opening and closing a vehicle roof and at least one electrical light source attached to the cover.

A frame is provided for vehicle roofs of all usual types, such as sliding sunroofs, slide-and-tilt sunroofs and top ridge sliding sunroofs (spoiler roofs), preferably having a motor drive for the cover that can be moved in relation to a roof opening by means of a cable drive system. The frame assembled from few parts comprises a plastic injection molded front member having cable channels open at the bottom and molded-on corner areas for the fixed attachment of the frame side members guiding the cover on guide rails, the side members preferably being cut to length from continuously cast aluminum profiles. The cable channels open at the bottom, into which the drive cables can easily be laid, are closed by at least one likewise plastic injection molded cover element. A motor mounting plate is provided as separate plastic injection molded part, so that it can be formed with high dimensional accuracy from another plastic particularly suited to the drive requirements. The frame is inexpensive to manufacture and can be easily and rapidly assembled by molding on assembly and positioning aids. Through standardisation of its few parts, particularly the motor mounting plate, the frame can be inexpensively adapted to suit the different requirements of specific vehicles.

A frame is provided for a vehicle sliding sunroof or slide-and-tilt sunroof, essentially comprising a plastic injection molded front member with molded on corner areas and two metal side members fixed by way of the corner areas, guide tubes being incorporated into the front member and adjoining guide channels being arranged in the side members, which together and affording compressive rigidity carry drive cables For movements of a cover in relation to a roof opening of the roof structure. The associated guide tubes and the guide channels do not come into contact with one another, but are isolated from one another by intervals, which are spanned by connectors, so that vibrations of the guide tubes originating from the cable drive system cannot be transmitted to the metal side members.
