A method for actuating a vehicle steering actuator which is coupled to a steering gear, comprising: providing an end stop return function with which a first control variable for the vehicle steering actuator can be ascertained, on the basis of which a force that returns the steering gear in the direction of a defined position can be at least partially generated with the vehicle steering actuator; ascertaining whether the steering gear falls below a limit distance from an end stop; and if this is the case: actuating the vehicle steering actuator on the basis of the first control variable ascertained with the end stop return function, which control variable has a value above a threshold value; wherein, if the limit distance is not fallen below, no control variable is ascertained with the end stop return function or a control variable with a value not exceeding the threshold value.

End stop return function for vehicle steering

An electromechanical brake booster having a plunger rod for connecting a brake pedal lever to a brake master cylinder, a gear motor, which is coupled with the plunger rod, and a control device for driving the gear motor. A pedal force variable representing the pedal force and a plunger rod motion variable representing the motion of the plunger rod are supplied to the control device as input variables. The control device is configured to determine a setpoint return velocity for the plunger rod with the aid of the plunger rod motion variable and an actual return velocity for the plunger rod and the pedal force variable from the setpoint return velocity and to generate an activation signal for the gear motor. This makes it possible to improve the brake release behavior and to reduce high Bernoulli forces at the end stop for the starting position of the brake pedal lever.

In a method and device for controlling driving dynamics, at least one steering action at a vehicle axle being controlled, a driving-dynamics setpoint, which is described by at least a yaw-dynamics setpoint, being ascertained, a steering-angle precontrol value being determined on the basis of the driving-dynamics setpoint, using a model of the controlled system, the driving state, which is described by at least the yaw rate, being ascertained, at least one steering-angle correction value being ascertained, based on the deviation of the actual yaw rate from a setpoint yaw rate, and the steering action being defined by the steering-angle precontrol value and the at least one steering-angle correction value.
