A cable breakout assembly includes a protective housing with a series of cable cradles, each of which accommodates a cable or wire in the cable transition area. The cable cradles have inwardly facing stop surfaces and stop members are applied to the exterior surfaces of the cables proximate to the cable cradles. The stop members encircle the cables and define a shoulder or stop surface in opposition to the stop surfaces of the cable cradles. The two stop surfaces confront each other and are configured to help to provide an integrated strain relief to the cable transition area.

A cable connector assembly is disclosed for use in connecting electronic devices together. The connector has a housing and a mating blade in the form of a paddle card to which wires of a cable are terminated. The connector housing supports a latching mechanism with an actuator that when selectively pulled delatches the latching mechanism from its engagement with the housing of an electronic device. The actuator has an elongated pull tab portion that has a rounded edge for at least three of its four sides. This rounded edge eliminates the sharp corners associated with rectangular or square cross sections of conventional pull tabs, thereby removing stress riser points and giving the pull tab greater resistance against tearing when subjected to torsional loading.

The present invention relates to conveyor control system and methodology that may be operatively coupled with other such systems in order to implement a control strategy for a modular conveyor system. A module and/or series of modules are provided that clamp to a cable, the modules having associated logic and inter-module communications for control. This includes relatively inexpensive power distribution, interconnection and motion logic for industrial conveyor systems.

An electrical connector, electrical connection assembly implementing at least one such electrical connector, and method of making such an electrical connector are disclosed. The method includes attaching a wire to a conductive component that includes at least one of a pin and a socket, positioning the conductive component into a supporting structure, and positioning a retaining component in relation to the supporting structure, where the retaining component serves to substantially prevent relative movement of the conductive component relative to the supporting structure. The method further includes overmolding at least portions of the supporting structure and the wire.
