Disclosed is a method for detecting a short-circuit in an H-bridge electronic circuit, including: activating a current source on a first test branch; taking a first potential measurement of one of the output terminals; activating, if the first potential measurement is substantially different from the potential of the power supply terminal to which the first test branch is connected, a current source on a second, diametrically opposite test branch; taking a second potential measurement of each output terminal; and signalling the detection of a localized short-circuit in the output terminal having the potential resulting from the second potential measurement that is closest to the potential resulting from the first potential measurement.

Method and device for detecting a short circuit in an H-bridge electronic circuit

A method for controlling an electronic switching unit for supplying electric power to an inductive power load, includes the following steps: activating an initial filter capacitor by connecting it between the electric power supply of the electronic unit and ground, and deactivating the other capacitors of the bank of filter capacitors; measuring the current flowing through this initial filter capacitor; if this current is above a predetermined nominal current threshold, activating an additional filter capacitor by connecting it between the electric power supply of the electronic unit and ground, in parallel with the initial filter capacitor.

Method of detecting failures

Disclosed is a method for adapting a control signal of a control circuit for at least one injector of a combustion engine of a motor vehicle, the control signal being a voltage-pulse signal of variable frequency varying between a minimum frequency and a maximum frequency and which is characterized over a given period by its duty cycle. For a given period of the control signal, the method includes determining the start time of the given period and of detecting the first pulse in the given period from the start time and, when the duration of the detected first pulse is included in a minimum time interval beginning at the start of the given period and the duration of which is dependent on the maximum frequency, modifying the duration of the detected first pulse so that the duration becomes equal to the duration of the minimum time interval.
