A method for processing a PCD element includes placing the PCD element in a vessel. A first fluid may be applied to the PCD element when the PCD element is in the vessel. A second fluid may be applied to the PCD element when the PCD element is in the vessel. A first temperature may be applied to the PCD element when the PCD element is in the vessel. A second temperature may be applied to the PCD element when the PCD element is in the vessel.

Multiphase flow meters and related methods are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes an inlet manifold; an outlet manifold, first and second flow paths coupled between the inlet and outlet manifolds; and an analyzer to determine a flow rate of fluid flowing through the first and second flow paths based on a parameter of the fluid flowing through the first flow path.

Multiphase flow meters and related methods

A piping system for housing system components for regulating the flow of fluid therethrough is provided. The piping system includes an inner small diameter length of piping through which hot fluids flow, an outer larger diameter length of piping surrounded by cold fluid, and an annulus between the small and larger diameter piping in which the system components are received. Insulation material extends about a predetermined section of the small diameter length of piping for restricting heat transfer therefrom to the system components in the annulus and allowing heat transfer from the system components in the annulus to the outer piping.

An apparatus includes an engagement device to be disposed on a landing string. The engagement device includes a retracted state to allow the apparatus to be run inside a riser and an expanded state to engage the riser to secure the apparatus to the riser. The apparatus further includes an actuator assembly to be disposed on the landing string. The actuator assembly is remotely actuatable from a sea surface to rotate a tubing of the landing string relative to the engagement device to rotate the landing string to orient a tubing hanger assembly.

A drum assembly for accommodating a well access line. The drum of the assembly may include a core coupled to flanges at either side thereof. The core may be configured to accommodate the well access line thereabout. Additionally, the core may be configured with an inner portion for coupling to the flanges at an arcuate junction therebetween as well as a collar about the inner portion for directly accommodating the well access line in a stable manner.

The invention relates to a method and to an installation for separating out an effluent made up of a multi-phase fluid mixture. According to the invention, said installation includes gravity separator means whose geometrical separation characteristics can be adjusted during said separation operation. According to the invention, the method makes it possible to adjust the geometrical separation characteristics of the separator as a function of how the multi-phase composition of the effluent varies over time.

Method and an installation for separating out multiphase effluents

The invention relates to a method of sampling a fluid phase in a multiphase fluid mixture flowing in a pipe () under given pressure conditions (P), said method comprising the following steps; admitting the multiphase fluid mixture into a phase separator (); separating the multiphase fluid mixture so as to isolate the fluid phase for sampling; pressurizing a sampling device () to the given pressure in the pipe (); and recovering a sample of said fluid phase in said sampling device. According to the invention, the method further comprises a step of increasing the pressure in the phase separator () in successive stage until said pressure in the separator reaches the give pressure (P) in the pipe (). The invention also provides a sampling apparatus for taking a fluid phase from a multiphase fluid mixture flowing in a pipe () under given pressure conditions (P), said apparatus comprising: a phase separator (); admission means () for admitting the multiphase fluid mixture into said separator; and sampling means () for taking a sample of said fluid phase, said sampling means being connected to the phase separator. According to the invention, the apparatus further comprises closure means () for increasing the pressure inside the separator () in successive stages.

The invention relates to a gravity separator for an effluent made up of a multi-phase fluid mixture comprising at least a heavy first phase and a supernatant second phase. According to the invention, said separator includes adjustment means for adjusting its geometrical separation characteristics.
