Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and apparatus for document recommendation by obtaining a plurality of first data for a source recommendation task from activities related to a source user using a plurality of first documents; obtaining a plurality of second data for a target recommendation task from activities related to a target user using a plurality of second documents; performing the target recommendation task based on the plurality of first data, the plurality of second data, and knowledge transferred from the source recommendation task to obtain a target recommendation model; and conducting document recommendation to the target user using the target recommendation model.

Document recommendation

The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for database search, by grouping data entries based on join conditions between the data entries as set in search conditions; and executing the search based on the grouping of the data entries, and can efficiently and effectively resolve the issues that are common to the existing MapReduce query processing systems, thereby being particularly suitable for big dataset analytics in a large cluster system.

Database search

A set of multidimensional data is obtained. At least a portion of the set of multidimensional data is processed to generate a set of formatted data, wherein the set of formatted data comprises at least one of attributes, attribute values and statistics on attribute values. A user is enabled to select, on a graphical user interface, an analysis task to be performed on at least a portion of the set of formatted data. One or more visualizations are generated from a set of visualization types for presentation on a graphical user interface to the user. The set of visualization types comprises a first visualization type representing a relationship between two attributes whereby attribute value pairs are represented by varying colors, a second visualization type representing thematic variations over time with respect to values of at least one attribute; and a third visualization type representing values of three attributes comprising one or more histograms. The one or more generated visualizations are based on the selected analysis task.

A computer-executable method, computer program product, and system for parsing a data log from a device, the computer-executable method comprising receiving the data log from the device, sampling the data log to create a sampled portion of data, wherein the sampled portion of data includes each attribute in the data log, constructing a metadata table based on the sampled portion of data, constructing data dictionaries based on the sampled portion of data, and parsing the data log using the metadata table and the data dictionaries to create a data field mapping table.
