The present disclosure relates generally to content delivery techniques in audio-visual streaming systems. The techniques include altering video or audio portions of media content based on user input or interaction. The techniques further include altering text or messaging distributed to multiple users based on user input.

Methods and systems for altering video clip objects

Techniques are disclosed that generally relate to content delivery techniques in audio-visual systems. In an audio-visual system, a method of using sensors to incrementally present content elements on a display includes presenting a first content element on the display, receiving first data from a sensor, the first data associated with a first distance. An increment coefficient is identified, and a portion size is determined by reducing the first distance by the increment coefficient. Finally, an unseen portion of a second content element is incrementally added to the display, and a presented portion of the first content element is incrementally removed from the display, the size of the portions added and removed being equal to the determined portion size.

Processing techniques in audio-visual streaming systems

In one embodiment, a method plays, a media program in a media player operating in a first mode on an interface. A change in a condition is detected for the media player. Then, the method switches from the first mode to a second mode based on the change in the condition. The second mode restricts movement of the media player. The media player is moved from a first position to a second position upon switching to the second mode and the media player continues to play the media program in the second position.

Media player operating in multiple modes

In one embodiment, a method receives a portion of a bundle of preview images for a video being played and starts to decode the portion of the bundle of preview images. An input is received for a location in the video. The method determines if a preview image corresponding to the location has been decoded from the bundle of preview images. When the preview image corresponding to the location has been decoded, the preview image corresponding to the location is displayed. When the preview image corresponding to the location has not been decoded, the method switches from decoding the portion of the bundle of preview images at a first position to decoding the portion of the bundle of preview images at a second position corresponding to the location.

Decoding method switching for preview image processing using a bundle of preview images

In one embodiment, a method plays, on an interface, a media program in a media player operating in a first mode. A position change of the media player on the interface is determined while the media program is being played in the media player to cause the media player to move to an out of bounds position. The method detects the media player moving to the out of bounds position and upon detecting, automatically performs switching from the first mode to a second mode based on the media player moving to the out of bounds position where the second mode restricts movement of the media player. Also, the method transfers the media player to a new position that is not in the out of bounds position where the media player continues to play the media program in the new position.

In one embodiment, a method sends a request for a bundle of preview images for a video to a server. The video is played and a portion of the bundle of preview images for the video is received. The method decodes the portion of the bundle of preview images before the entire bundle of preview images is received. Then, an input from a user for a location in the video is received and the method determines if a preview image corresponding to the location has been decoded from the bundle of preview images. When the image corresponding to the location has been decoded, the preview image corresponding to the location is displayed as a preview image.
