A well tool for removing an expandable liner in a wellbore includes a substantially cylindrical tool body oriented about a longitudinal axis, a blade edge connected to the tool body and positioned along a radial perimeter of the tool body, and a blade system connected to the tool body and including a base plate and multiple blades connected to the base plate. The blade edge is positioned at a longitudinal end of the tool body. The multiple blades are oriented about the longitudinal axis on the base plate.

Expandable liner removal well tool

A whipstock assembly and a method for side-tracking a wellbore. The whipstock assembly includes a casing sub-assembly. The casing sub-assembly has a first rotating collar, a second rotating collar, and multiple bars. The bars are movable from a first position spaced apart from the first and second rotating collars to a second position extending between the first rotating collar and the second rotating collar. The bars are rotatable from the second position to a third position to open a window in the bars and form a ramp oriented toward the window.

Side-tracking a wellbore

An Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) system may be installed in a wellbore for imparting an uphole thrust to wellbore fluids. Each component of the ESP system may have a hollow interior such that a longitudinal passageway is defined therethrough. The longitudinal passageway permits the passage of a variety of tools to perform logging operations, workover operations and/or other rig-less interventions without removing ESP system from the wellbore. A filter may be provided within the longitudinal passageway to prevent solids from entering the ESP system. The filter may rest on a profile provided within an intake of the ESP system such that the filter may be removed or replaced by rig-less slickline operations.

Hollow electrical submersible pump for unlimited wellbore intervention

An exposed resistive heating element is coupled to an electric power supply. The exposed resistive heating element is malleable such that it can be wrapped around a component to be heated. A controller is coupled to the power supply and the exposed resistive heating element. The controller is configured to regulate current exchanged between the exposed heating element and the electric power supply.

A milling and wellbore metal recovery assembly includes a milling assembly that can mill a casing disposed in a wellbore. A primary debris removal assembly is connected to the milling assembly and can reside uphole of the milling assembly. The primary debris removal assembly can clear debris resulting from the milling assembly milling the casing disposed in the wellbore by reverse circulating wellbore fluid in an uphole direction from an annulus formed by the wellbore and through the primary debris removal assembly. A second debris removal assembly is connected to the primary debris removal assembly, and can reside uphole of the primary debris removal assembly. The secondary debris removal assembly can clear debris resulting from the milling assembly milling the casing by circulating wellbore fluid in a downhole direction through the secondary debris removal assembly and then in the uphole direction through the annulus towards a surface of the wellbore.

Milling and wellbore metal debris recovery assembly

An apparatus includes a scale removal head, a scale collector, a circulating plate assembly, and a guide. The scale removal head includes a plurality of blades that scrape against a wall of a wellbore to remove scale from the wall of the wellbore in response to rotation of the apparatus. The scale collector defines a first inner region within a surrounding slotted chamber. The circulating plate assembly defines a second inner region within a pipe. The first inner region and the second inner region together define a collection volume for accumulating and storing scale that has been removed from the wall of the wellbore. The guide includes a plurality of blades that scrape against the wall of the wellbore to remove scale from the wall of the wellbore as the apparatus rotates.

A well tool assembly includes a first well tool and a second well tool. The first well tool includes a first casing, a first drill bit and a drilling jar. The first drill bit is configured to drill through a subterranean zone to form a wellbore. The drilling jar is axially coupled to the casing uphole of the first drill bit. The drilling jar has an outer diameter that is greater than an outer diameter of the first casing. The second well tool has a second casing and a second drill bit. The second casing has an outer diameter that is smaller than an inner diameter of the drilling jar. The second drill bit has an outer diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the drilling jar.

An apparatus for flowing and mixing cement within a subterranean formation includes a housing, a flow control device, and baffles. The housing is configured to contain a cement additive. The housing includes a first end and a second end. The first end is configured to couple to a cement retainer. The flow control device is disposed at the second end of the housing. The baffles are disposed within the housing.
