Rotary tool

A power tool is advantageously configured to provide a rotating motion, an oscillating motion, and a reciprocating motion. The power tool includes at least one motor, which is operable to drive these three different motions at the same time. The power tool includes a rotating member, which is configured to output a rotating motion. The rotating member is configured to attach to and detach from a rotating accessory. The power tool includes an oscillating member, which is configured to output an oscillating motion. The oscillating member is configured to attach to and detach from an oscillating accessory. The power tool includes a pin, which is configured to output a reciprocating motion. The pin is configured to provide the reciprocating motion to a reciprocating accessory. The power tool is configured to provide a connected accessory with the corresponding motion during operation.

Multi-motion appliance

A power tool has a housing. The housing includes a battery pack attachment area. The battery pack attachment area comprises a battery pack insertion direction, a battery pack insertion opening and an end portion opposite from the battery pack insertion opening in the battery pack insertion direction. The end portion extends across the battery pack insertion direction and has at least one first contact surface for a forward portion of an inserted battery pack. Battery pack guide sections extend parallel to the battery pack insertion direction between the battery pack insertion opening and the end portion and that are spaced apart from each other. The battery pack attachment area comprises an insert which extends along the end portion and includes the at least first contact surface.

A support bridge for supporting an in-air surface of a three-dimensional (3D) object during a print process includes a first end, a second end, and a horizontal span that spans between the first end and the second end. The first end, second end, and span are situated in an intermediate layer, and the first end and second end of the support bridge contact, respectively, first and second surfaces of an abutment layer of the 3D object. The support bridge is constructed during the print process and is configured to support the in-air surface of the 3D object.

Portable power cleaner

An accessory holder for holding an accessory of a power tool includes a support frame and an actuator. The support frame includes a tool connection structure configured to connect to a driven output of the power tool and an accessory connection structure fixedly extending from the tool connection structure and defining at least one recess. The actuator is rotatably connected to the accessory connection structure and is rotatable to a clamped position and an unclamped position. The actuator is configured to deform a portion of the accessory into the at least one recess when the actuator is in the clamped position, such that the accessory is clamped to the accessory connection structure when the actuator is in the clamped position.

Accessory system for a power tool

An attachment is configured to be used with a hand-held rotary power tool. The attachment includes a housing, a sanding disk, and a cap. The housing has a first portion hingedly connected to a second portion so as to be rotatable into a closed configuration. The housing receives the sanding disk when the housing is positioned in the closed configuration. The cap is coupled to the first and second portions of the attachment housing when the housing is positioned in the closed configuration. The cap includes an end that is closed by an access portion and a guiding portion. A guide member for an oscillating power tool includes an attachment portion configured to be removably attached to a housing of the power tool and a guide portion that extends from the attachment portion. The guide portion includes a leading edge, a trailing edge, and a guide surface. When the attachment portion is attached to the housing of the power tool, the guide portion is configured to extend beyond the housing in a first direction to position the leading edge portion a predetermined distance apart from the oscillation axis, the predetermined distance being greater than a distance that an accessory tool attached to the power tool extends.

A rotary tool includes a motor having an output shaft, the output shaft defining an axis of rotation. The motor is configured to rotate the output shaft in a first direction about the axis of rotation. An accessory tool retention mechanism is attached to a distal end portion of the output shaft and configured to releasably retain an accessory tool in alignment with the axis of rotation. A fan mechanism includes a plurality of fan blades attached to the accessory tool retention mechanism and extending radially outwardly therefrom. The plurality of fan blades are configured to move air forwardly in a direction that is generally parallel to the axis of rotation as the accessory tool retention mechanism is rotated in the first direction by the output shaft.

A support arm portion extends from the mounting portion in a first direction. The support arm portion includes an inner edge that faces in a second direction transverse to the first direction. The blade portion includes a trailing edge arranged facing generally toward the mounting portion and a leading edge arranged facing generally away from the mounting portion. The trailing edge and the leading edge portion meet to define a pointed tip portion.
