The present disclosure discloses a method for eliminating nonlinear effects, a transmitter and a receiver. The method includes: setting signals to be transmitted and redundant signals, where the redundant signals are symmetrical to the signals, which are to be transmitted, about Y axis; and after the setting is completed, respectively executing dispersion pre-compensation on the signals to be transmitted and the redundant signals, and executing signal modulation after the dispersion pre-compensation is completed.

Provided are methods, apparatuses and a system for monitoring a Reconfigurable Optical Add Drop Multiplexer (ROADM) optical network. The method includes: loading, in an optical signal at a sending end, a wavelength label frequency and attribute information of a channel used for transmitting the optical signal; sending the wavelength label frequency and/or the attribute information; receiving, at a monitoring end, the optical signal and acquiring, from the optical signal, the wavelength label frequency and/or the attribute information of the channel used for transmitting the optical signal; and monitoring the ROADM optical network according to the wavelength label frequency and/or the attribute information. The technical solution solves the technical problem in related art that the ROADM optical network cannot be effectively monitored, and achieves the effective monitoring of the ROADM optical network.

A method for detecting an optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR). A wavelength label loading end () loads a wavelength label signal in an optical signal, and sends a loading modulation depth of the wavelength label signal to an OSNR detection end () through a wavelength label channel or an optical monitoring channel. The OSNR detection end () obtains a loading modulation depth of a wavelength label signal loaded in each wavelength optical signal, parses the wavelength label signal to obtain a current modulation depth of the wavelength label signal, and obtains an OSNR value of each wavelength optical signal according to the loading modulation depth and the current modulation depth of the wavelength label signal. A system and device for detecting an OSNR applicable to OSNR tests of present optical signals with high rates of 40 G, 100 G, etc., and in particular to OSNR tests of polarization multiplexing optical signals.
