An example device may include an antenna node configured to be coupled to an antenna element. The antenna node may be configured to pass wireless communications over multiple frequency bands. The device may also include multiple signal paths coupled to the antenna node. Each of the multiple signal paths may be configured to carry a signal from a different one of the multiple frequency bands. The device may further include a switch element coupled to the antenna node by the multiple signal paths and an amplifier circuit within the multiple signal paths between the switch element and the antenna node. The amplifier circuit may be configured to amplify the signals carried by the multiple signal paths.

Wireless transceiver

Techniques for performing optimized handovers of a client device between access points in wireless networks are provided. A first access point exchanges packets with a client device. The first access point receives a disassociation notice from the client device. In response to the disassociation notice, the first access point buffers one or more packets received for the client device in a first buffer. The first access point receives an indication from a controller to transmit the one or more packets in the first buffer to a second access point. In response to the indication, the first access point transmits the one or more packets in the first buffer to the second access point.

Handovers in wireless controller-based systems

Disclosed are systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for identifying a locations of a network entities within a network. A method for identifying a location of an (AP) includes receiving a first location measurement associated with a first measurement variant and a second location measurement associated with a second measurement variant from a first AP; receiving a third location measurement associated with the first measurement variant and a fourth location measurement associated with the second measurement variant from a second AP; determining weights associated with the location measurements; determining a first location associated with the first AP and a second location associated with the second AP based on a first weight, a second weight, a third weight, and a fourth weight; determining a confidence of the first location based on a comparison of the first location measurement and the second location measurement.

Automated position estimation based on coordinating access points

A method of adjusting operating configurations in a networking device to regulate thermal conditions in the networking device to be within a thermal range while optimizing service for the communication activity of networking device. Example implementations include analyzing communication activity of the one or more network interfaces to determine possible operating configurations to service the communication activity. In an example implementation, the possible operating configurations are learned based on the operating configurations and characteristics of the communication activity when the monitored thermal conditions leave and return the thermal range. Further, the one or more network interfaces of the device can be configured based on service levels for portions of the communication activity in order to regulate the thermal conditions. In some example implementations, instructions can be sent to another device communicating with the networking device to modify communications in order to regulate the thermal conditions.

Adaptive thermal management in wireless communications systems

A method includes determining traffic priority information of a first wireless network that includes a first radio configured to communicate according to a first communication protocol on multiple overlapping channels. The method includes determining an operating mode of a second radio as a power save operating mode based on the traffic priority information of the first wireless network. The second radio is included in a second wireless network and is configured to communicate according to a second communication protocol on the overlapping channels. The power save operating mode is configured to avoid interference on the overlapping channels with traffic in the first wireless network. The method includes operating the second radio in the determined power save operating mode.

Coexistence management in wireless communications

An example method of wireless data transmission may include determining a configuration of multiple antenna element nodes. The configuration may indicate a frequency band of operation for each of the multiple antenna element nodes and the configuration may be determined based on one or more network factors of multiple frequency bands. The method may also include selecting, based on the configuration, a signal path to couple to each of the multiple antenna element nodes from multiple signal paths. The multiple signal paths may each be configured to amplify signals carried thereon and at least two of the multiple signal paths may be coupled between each antenna element node and a common node. The method may further include directing, based on the configuration, wireless communications over the multiple antenna element nodes.

Wireless data transmission

Systems and methods for a wireless device to determine whether to associate with a wireless access point in view of a historical location-based record to predict a probability for a future location state based on a historical dwell time of the historical location-based record. Some examples include a wireless device receiving information for a location with multiple access points, where the location has a plurality of rooms, and the information includes historical proximity records of wireless stations associated with each of the multiple access points, and current proximity metrics for at least one of the multiple access points.

Client steering for a wireless local area network

A mobile wireless device includes a wireless communication component, a mobility component configured to adjust a spatial placement of the mobile wireless device, a navigation circuit coupled to the mobility component, and an image sensor communicatively coupled to the wireless communication component. The navigation circuit is configured to control the mobility component to cause movement of the mobile wireless device through the space. The wireless communication component is to transmit image data via a wireless network as the mobile wireless device moves through the space.

Methods and systems of a wireless access point (WAP) configured to support wireless communications on a wireless local area network (WLAN). In an example system, a WAP with a non-volatile memory storing network event rules that indicate conditional parameters for an action for a targeted device, includes an event detection circuit to gather and analyze wireless communications activity, and a rule initiation circuit to initiate an action for a target device indicated by a network event rule. In an example, the rule initiation circuit is to initiate an action for a target device indicated by a network event rule, where the conditional parameters are satisfied at least in part by the gathered wireless communications activity from the one or more wireless stations.

Network event based security and home automation

A method may include determining a set of parameters of a first wireless network that includes a first radio configured to communicate according to a first communication protocol on a plurality of overlapping channels. The method may also include determining one or more operating parameters of a second radio based on the set of parameters of the first wireless network, the second radio included in a second wireless network, co-located with the first radio, and configured to communicate according to a second communication protocol on the plurality of overlapping channels. The method may also include operating the second radio in the second wireless network according to the one or more operating parameters.

Systems and methods for operating a wireless access point (WAP) selected communication channel on a wireless local area network (WLAN). An example implementation includes accessing current proximity metrics for a given wireless device within a proximity distance of a wireless access point (WAP), analyzing the current proximity metrics in view of historical proximity records to predict a probability for future proximity states based on dwell time of the historical proximity records, and selecting a communication option for the wireless device based on the future proximity state with a highest probability for a criterion.

Methods and systems for operating a mobile wireless repeater station for wireless communication on a wireless local area network (WLAN) having a wireless access point (WAP) and a plurality of stations at a location of the WAP. An example implementation includes components coupled to one another to performs operations including sniffing communications channels to intercept communication packets; identifying a subset of one or more relay candidates among the stations to optimize for a relay of subsequent communications based on the intercepted communication packets; and spatially mapping the location of the WAP to determine an optimal spatial placement for the mobile wireless repeater station between the WAP and the identified subset of relay candidates. In an example, the mobile wireless repeater station is adjusted based on the optimal spatial placement.

Methods and systems for mobile charging of wireless stations with wireless communications on a wireless local area network (WLAN). A mobile charging unit is operable with coordinated wireless asset management for navigation and mobile charging capabilities to service wireless stations. In an example implementation, a mobile charging unit identifies stations on the WLAN are battery operated and support wireless charging, determines when a charging operation is needed, provides automated navigation to the associated stations, and initiates wireless charging of the identified stations.
