Methods include identifying, using a processing device, an assertion of a radio frequency (RF) active signal, canceling activity of a first transceiver in response to identifying the assertion of the RF active signal, the RF active signal being associated with a second transceiver collocated with the first transceiver, and generating, using the processing device, a network allocation vector (NAV) reset signal in response to identifying a de-assertion of the RF active signal, the NAV reset signal resetting a timer of a wireless device comprising the first transceiver and the second transceiver.

Systems, methods, and devices for protection management-based coexistence enhancement in wireless devices

Systems, methods, and devices seamlessly playback data files using one or more wireless connections. Methods include identifying a plurality of combinations of antennas based on a plurality of available antennas for a wireless communications device, and generating, using a processing device included in a multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) device, a plurality of quality metrics comprising at least one quality metric for each of the identified combinations of antennas, wherein each of the at least one quality metrics represents a signal quality of a signal included in a multiplexed spatial stream. Methods also include selecting, using the processing device, at least two antennas from the plurality of combinations of antennas that have the closest values of quality metrics to each other, wherein the plurality of combinations of antennas comprises antennas associated with different streams included in the multiplexed spatial stream.

Methods include determining, using a processing device comprising processing elements, a transmit power for a first transceiver of a wireless device, and determining, using the processing device, a coding rate for a second transceiver of the wireless device based, at least in part, on the determined transmit power, the first transceiver being collocated with the second transceiver. Methods include receiving a signal at a wireless device, the signal including at least one data subcarrier and one or more guard subcarriers. Methods also include determining, using processing logic, that one or more guard subcarriers are available for adjacent channel interference (ACI) detection, measuring, using the processing logic, a power of each of the one or more guard subcarriers and a total power of the one or more guard subcarriers, and determining, using the processing logic, an ACI is present based, at least in part, on the measurements of the one or more guard subcarriers. Methods further include performing, using the processing logic, one or more deweighing operations based on one or more identified features of the ACI.

Systems, methods, and devices for channel interference detection in wireless devices

Systems, methods, and devices reduce and mitigate spurs that may occur in transmit waveforms of wireless communications devices. Methods include beginning transmission of a portion of a data packet from a baseband layer of a wireless communications device, and generating a spur canceling signal based on an estimated magnitude and an estimated phase of a spur signal at identified spur frequencies of a frequency band used for the transmission. Methods also include subtracting the spur canceling signal from the transmission of the portion of the data packet, and generating a transmitted signal based on the subtracting such that the spur canceling signal is subtracted during the transmission of the portion of the data packet.

Transmit spur detection and mitigation for wireless communications devices

Methods include identifying, using processing elements of a software enabled access point, a plurality of wireless devices communicatively coupled to the software enabled access point, aggregating, using the processing elements, data associated with the plurality of wireless devices, and generating, using the processing elements, transmission instructions identifying transmission periods for the plurality of wireless devices. Methods include determining, using one or more processors, multiple protection frames should be used for a first wireless radio and a second wireless radio based, at least in part, on an interference parameter, wherein the first wireless radio and the second wireless radio are collocated in a same wireless device. Methods also include determining, using the one or more processors, one or more transmission parameters associated at least one of the wireless radios, the one or more transmission parameters representing a first duty cycle of the first wireless radio and a second duty cycle of the second wireless radio. Methods further include determining, using the one or more processors, a number of protection frames and a protection frame duration based, at least in part, on the one or more transmission parameters.

Enhanced transmission medium usage for collocated wireless devices

A method can include, in a wireless device connected to a first network and configured to transmit over a medium, while a detected packet is being received: determining if the detected packet has a network identification value, the network identification value identifying a network in which wireless devices are connected; when at least the network identification value of the detected packet matches that of the first network, setting a timer value that prevents transmissions on the medium by the wireless device during the duration of the detected packet; and when at least the network identification value of the detected packet does not match that of the first network, dropping the detected packet before it is fully received and not setting the timer value.

Devices, systems and methods for utilizing wireless medium

Core transmit suspension is provided in multiple core wireless devices, systems, and methods. A first wireless device may transmit a plurality of data packets by a first core and a second core of the first wireless device to a second wireless device at a data rate. A data packet may be transmitted by at least one of the first core or the second core. The first wireless device may receive a first core acknowledgement (ACK) of the data packet by the first core and a second core ACK of the data packet by the second core from the second wireless device. The first wireless device may determine that a function of a power metric of the first core ACK and a power metric of the second core ACK satisfies a threshold to produce a result. The first wireless device may suspend, while the data rate sustains, transmission of the plurality of data packets by a suspended core of the first core or the second core based on the result.

Core transmit suspension in multiple core wireless devices, systems, and methods

The embodiments described herein are directed at techniques to de-correlate Bluetooth interference seen across WLAN receive antennas/space in a Bluetooth transceiver/WLAN transceiver combination device. A Bluetooth interference whitening technique may be utilized, wherein a whitening matrix is computed based on a leakage signal resulting from a training signal transmitted by the Bluetooth transceiver. The leakage signal may leak in to the WLAN transceiver and a set of attributes is calculated for each frequency the leakage signal is received on. One or more whitening matrixes are calculated based on the set of attributes for each frequency the leakage signal is received on. In response to the WLAN transceiver receiving a signal of interest, an appropriate whitening matrix from the one or more whitening matrixes is selected and is then applied to the received signal of interest to de-correlate any interference generated as a result of the Bluetooth transmission.

Robust WLAN reception in WiFi-bluetooth combination systems by interference whitening

One example of a device includes a Bluetooth transceiver, a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) transceiver, and a controller. The WLAN transceiver is proximate the Bluetooth transceiver. The controller is communicatively coupled to the Bluetooth transceiver and the WLAN transceiver. The controller is configured to adjust a cell size of the WLAN transceiver or the Bluetooth transceiver to reduce interference between WLAN transceiver traffic and Bluetooth transceiver traffic.

Systems, methods, and devices select antennas to enhance the range and throughput of wireless communications devices. Methods include identifying a plurality of combinations of antennas based on a plurality of available antennas for a wireless communications device, and generating, using a processing device included in a multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) device, a plurality of quality metrics including at least one quality metric for each of the identified combinations of antennas, where each of the at least one quality metrics represents a signal quality of a signal associated with each of the plurality of antennas, and wherein the signal is a spatial stream. Methods further include selecting at least two antennas from the plurality of combinations of antennas based, at least in part, on the plurality of quality metrics, where the at least two antennas are selected for use by the wireless communications device during a transmitting or receiving operation.

Disclosed are methods and systems for delaying packet transmissions over a wireless communication channel until a more favorable channel condition is detected. A device may measure a channel metric when it receives periodic beacon signals. The device may compare the channel metric against a programmed metric threshold. If the channel metric is less than the metric threshold, the device may delay the transmission of a packet until a later transmission window or transmit opportunity (TXOP) when the channel metric rises above the metric threshold, indicating the presence of a more favorable condition for transmission, or until a preconfigured timeout period elapses before the more favorable condition is found.
