The invention relates to multipurpose electronic payment method and system. The inventive method consists in transmitting (A) from a multimedia terminal (TM) a payment order (MP) issued from at least one multimedia application hosted in the (TM) to a local proxy for payment (PP), in discriminating (B) said payment order in (PP) upon a specific local processing criterion respectively remote, in carrying out (C) a local payment upon the retained local payment specific criterion, if not in transmitting (D) the payment order to a remote system (SD) for carrying out a remote payment. Said invention is usable for proximity payment transitions, external payment or for electronically carrying out a telepayment.

Multipurpose electronic payment method and system

A process for managing an electronic transaction with a trader by use of a microprocessor chip card and of a reading terminal able to interact with the card. The card performs a first comparison where it compares a transaction amount with a first threshold value and instigates a bearer authentication procedure when this amount is above the first threshold. When the amount of the transaction is below the first threshold, the chip card performs a second comparison where it compares with a second threshold value an incremented value of a first counter. The first counter being an aggregate of small amounts counter and being successively incremented by values of amounts of transaction in cases where the amounts are below the first threshold. A procedure for authenticating the bearer of the card is instigated by the card depending on the result of this second comparison.

Process for managing an electronic transaction by chip card terminal and chip card implementing this process

Method for carrying out an electronic transaction using several signatures. In the present invention, entities (or actors) are spread over a communication network and share keys. A message is encapsulated inside several cryptograms, and intermediate entities progressively decapsulate the cryptograms that they receive. The invention is applicable to all electronic transactions, in particular to 'electronic wallet' applications.

Method for carrying out an electronic transaction using several signatures

A system of payment by the transfer of electronic money and especially of electronic cheques with blind signatures comprises an interbank compensation unit, an interbank network, and a verification unit. The interbank compensation unit permits the transfer of electronic money between multiple bank units in payment of amounts owed therebetween arising from the electronic cheques. The interbank network links the interbank compensation unit to the multiple bank units, and enables the transfer of electronic cheques from a payment terminal to the interbank compensation unit. The verification unit is linked to the interbank compensation unit, and is capable of verifying the authenticity and the non-reutilization of electronic cheques which have already travelled through the interbank network after a first payment.
