A transparent curable composition includes 100 parts by weight of a polyoxyalkylene-based polymer (A); and 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a weathering stabilizer (B). The polyoxyalkylene-based polymer (A) has a reactive silicon group that can be crosslinked by forming a siloxane bond, and the weathering stabilizer (B) is a hindered-amine-based photostabilizer (B1).

Curable composition and cured product thereof

Provided is a curable composition which is free of organotin compounds to be environmentally friendly and whose cured product shows high elongation and high elastic recovery to be suitable particularly as a sealant. The present invention relates to a curable composition containing a reactive silyl group-containing organic polymer (A) which has a highly active reactive silyl group at a molecular chain end, and a compound (B) having 2 to 10 ethyloxy groups in its molecule but having no amino group in its molecule, the compound (B) being a C1-C20 saturated hydrocarbon having one alkoxysilyl group, a C1-C20 hydrocarbon having two or more alkoxysilyl groups, or a C1-C20 polycarboxylic acid ester.

Curable composition and cured article obtained therefrom

A curable composition includes (A) an organic polymer having a reactive silyl group; (B) at least one ester compound (except for compounds having a methyl ester group) selected from the group consisting of isophthalic acid ester compounds, terephthalic acid ester compounds, 1,3-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid ester compounds, and 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid ester compounds; and (C) a compound having a methyl ester group.

Curable composition

The present invention provides a sealant composition that includes a reactive silyl group-containing organic polymer, and gives a cured product having a low modulus and not having wrinkles or cracks on the surface even though the sealant includes as a curing catalyst a tetravalent tin compound, which is presumed to reduce recovery. The sealant composition is a one-component curable sealant composition including: a linear organic polymer (A) having a number average molecular weight of 11,000 to 30,000, and having an ethanol-elimination reactive silyl group at a molecular terminal; a tetravalent tin compound (B); and a plasticizer (C).

An organic polymer, having a number-average molecular weight of 800 to 15,000, and comprising 0.5 or more but less than 1.2 reactive silicon groups in each molecule of the polymer on average, in which the reactive silicon groups are introduced into one-side out of terminals thereof, and heightening, in particular, the proportion of molecules (of the polymer) into each of which the silicon group is introduced.

Reactive plasticizer and curable composition containing same

An object of the present invention is to provide a curable composition that provides high hardness and can be used in adhesives and coating agents. This object can be achieved by a curable composition containing: 100 parts by weight of a reactive silyl group-containing organic polymer (A) that has a number average molecular weight of 2,000 to 6,000 and contains 1.3 to 5 reactive silyl groups per molecule; and 0 to 40 parts by weight of a plasticizer (C). This curable composition is suitable for flooring adhesives and tile adhesives, which require high hardness.

The present invention aims to provide a curable composition without adverse effects on the environment, which exhibits excellent curability without containing a toxic organotin curing catalyst, and gives a cured product that does not have discoloration and cracks on the surface thereof even after being exposed to the atmosphere and ultraviolet light for a long time. The present invention also aims to provide the cured product. The curable composition comprises: (A) an organic polymer having a reactive silyl group; (B) a guanidine compound having a specific structure; and (C) a phosphorus compound that has an aryl group, has a phosphorus atom with an oxidation number of +5, and has a melting point of 23&#xb0; C. or higher.

Provided is a curable composition that has low modulus, high elongation and low viscosity, and can be used for building sealing materials. This curable composition includes: an organic polymer (A) containing on average at least 1.4 reactive silyl groups per molecule; and an organic polymer (B) containing on average less than one reactive silyl group per molecule, wherein the number average molecular weight of component (B) is lower than the number average molecular weight of component (A) by at least 3,000, and the ratio (y)/(x) of the number of moles (y) of organic polymers containing only one reactive silyl group per molecule among components (A) and (B) to the number of moles (x) of organic polymers containing at least 2 reactive silyl groups per molecule among components (A) and (B) is not more than 5.

An object of the invention is to yield a highly transparent cured article wherein bubbles are less generated when a catalyst and others are added to a curable composition that contains an organic polymer having a silicon-containing group which can be crosslinked by the formation of a siloxane bond and then the resultant mixture is stirred. Another object thereof is to provide a cured article which is small in surface stickiness, slightly gets dirty over a long term, and has a practical adhesiveness. These objects are attained by a curable composition which comprises (A) an organic polymer having a silicon-containing group that can be crosslinked by the formation of a siloxane bond, (B) a bivalent tin carboxylate and (C) an amine compound having no reactive silicon group, and which turns transparent when cured; or a transparent cured article obtained by curing the composition.

Curable composition and cured article excellent in transparency

The present invention provides a curable composition mainly comprising an organic polymer containing a reactive silyl group, which is free from toxic organotin catalysts so as to be environmentally friendly and maintains good surface properties after being cured. The curable composition of the present invention comprises: (A) an organic polymer having a silyl group cross-linkable by siloxane bond formation; (B) a carboxylic acid and/or a carboxylate metal salt; (C) an amine compound; and (D) a phosphorus compound having an aryl group and a melting point of 23&#xb0; C. or higher.

The present invention has its object to provide a curable composition not containing any organotin type curing catalyst of concern because of the toxic feature thereof, or any volatile compound, excellent in curability and storage stability and, further, capable of providing cured products excellent in strength and elongation. The above object can be achieved by a curable composition which includes: an organic polymer (A) containing a hydrolyzable silyl group in a molecule; an amidine compound (B); a plasticizer (C); and an amino group-containing silane coupling agent (D), wherein the amidine compound (B) is preliminarily mixed and dissolved and/or dispersed in the plasticizer (C) and the amino group-containing silane coupling agent (D), and the resultant mixture is added to the reactive silyl group-containing polymer (A).

The present invention has its object to provide a curable composition comprising a reactive silyl group-containing organic polymer component which allows slight bleedout of a liquid compound to occur to the cured product surface and shows good adhesiveness and water-resistant adhesiveness using an amine compound as a non-organotin catalyst. The present invention has its object to provide a transparent curable composition which may be prepared as a one package formulation, and which is excellent in strength, elongation at break, weather resistance, and adhesiveness of the resultant cured product. In addition, the present invention provides a curable composition which comprises 100 parts by weight of a vinyl polymer (I) the main chain of which is the product of living radical polymerization and which contains a crosslinkable silyl group, and 1 to 200 parts by weight of a micronized hydrophobic silica (II). Furthermore, the present invention also provides a curable composition which comprises 100 parts by weight of a vinyl polymer (I) the main chain of which is the product of living radical polymerization and which contains at least one crosslinkable silyl group, and 1 to 200 parts by weight of a graft copolymer (III) obtained by graft polymerization of a crosslinkable rubber-like acrylic ester polymer and a vinyl monomer.

The present invention has its object to provide a curable composition not containing any organotin type curing catalyst currently of concern because of the toxic feature thereof, or any volatile compound, excellent in curability and storage stability and, further, capable of providing cured products excellent in strength and elongation; the above object can be achieved by a curable composition which includes: an organic polymer (A) containing a hydrolyzable silyl group in a molecule; an amidine compound (B); and a compound (C) containing a sulfonyl group in a molecule.

The present invention has its object to provide a curable composition which comprises a reactive silyl group-containing organic polymer, does not contain, as a silanol condensation catalyst, any organotin type curing catalyst currently of concern because of the toxic feature thereof, is excellent in surface curability and depth curability and, further, can provide cured products excellent in adhesiveness; the above object can be achieved by a curable composition which comprises: an organic polymer (A) containing a silicon-containing group capable of crosslinking under siloxane bond formation; and a guanidine compound (B-1), as a silanol condensation catalyst (B), represented by the general formula (1):RN&#x2550;C(NR)&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)(wherein one of the five Rs is an aryl group and the other four Rs each independently is a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group in which the carbon atom at position 1 is saturated).
