The present invention relates to a novel phospholipase Apolypeptide, DNA encoding the polypeptide, a vector comprising the DNA, a transformant transformed with the vector, and a process for producing the phospholipase Apolypeptide. The present invention also relates to a method of utilizing the polypeptide, e.g., a method of screening for a compound having agonist or antagonist activity by using the polypeptide or an antibody to the polypeptide, and a pharmaceutical comprising the polypeptide or an antibody to the polypeptide.
