A motor vehicle door lock apparatus includes a meshing mechanism with a striker, a control unit authenticating a transmitter and switching an operation of an outside electric operation element to be enabled and disabled, a locking and unlocking mechanism being switched to an unlocking state where a meshing of the meshing mechanism can be released and a locking state where the meshing cannot be released by an operation of an inside mechanical operation element or a driving of a locking and unlocking motor, and an electric releasing mechanism releasing the meshing by a driving of a releasing motor to activate a releasing operation based on a valid operation of the outside electric operation element, and after a predetermined length of time has elapsed since collision detecting means detect a collision of the motor vehicle, the control unit drives the locking and unlocking motor to activate an unlocking operation.

Automobile door locking device

A door opening/closing device includes: a motor; and a control unit that is configured to control a rotation rate of the motor by pulse-width modulation (PWM) control. The door opening/closing device opens and closes a door of a vehicle with power of the motor. The control unit is configured to perform the PWM control on the motor at a PWM frequency set so as to deviate from a resonance point of an installation body on which the motor is installed.

Door opening/closing device and door opening/closing method

In an opening control device in a vehicle door, in order to stop the door at a desired position, a control unit stops power supply to a motor, and a short circuit is made in an electric circuit between a first terminal and a second terminal of the motor. In the electric circuit, there is formed a regenerative brake circuit in which regenerative braking can be applied to rotation of the motor. When the door is positioned within a fully-open-position-adjacent range that is adjacent to a fully-open position of the door, regenerative braking is applied to normal rotation of the motor for opening the door and is not applied to reverse rotation of the motor for closing the door.

A display apparatus, that can prevent thermal destruction and burning with a simple structure, has been disclosed. In the apparatus it is judged that there is possibility of a pattern, whose area with high brightness is small, being displayed frequently, when a state in which the total light emission pulse number remains large occurs with high frequency, and if such a state is detected, the total light emission pulse number (sustain frequency) is reduced to prevent the thermal destruction and burning.

Display apparatus and display driving method for enhancing grayscale display capable of low luminance portion without increasing driving time

In the PDP device, for example, two types of SF lighting patterns (A and B modes) are equally divided and arranged in spatially different regions in a field. For example, the patterns are arranged in a zigzag manner in units of pixels. At all lighting steps, existence of an absence of light-on SF which becomes a cause of false contour is permitted only in one mode. Accordingly, a generation rate of absence of light-on SF per field when the modes are combined is low, and the level of false contour can be reduced. Further, the spatial arrangement of each mode is optionally changed among the fields.

Method for grayscale display processing for multi-grayscale display to reduce false contours in a plasma display device

A display apparatus driving method for a field time division type display apparatus displays grayscale by combining a plurality of subfields into which one field has been divided. Each subfield includes a resetting, an addressing, and a sustaining. At least one extra subfield is additionally provided which does not have a resetting, and which stays always ON with a luminance level higher than a prescribed input luminance level.

According to the present invention, a plasma display apparatus, which represents the luminance of one frame in accordance with a combination of plural sub-frames having luminance levels corresponding to a plurality of weighted values, additionally includes a sub-frame having a luminance level lower than the minimum gray scale level of luminance which can be represented by the number of bits in the input video data. Such plasma display apparatus turns on a desired combination of the sub-frames so as to increase the resolution of the luminance without increasing the conventional number of gray scale levels included in the input video data. In a preferred embodiment, especially when the added smaller luminance sub-frame is included in a combination of sub-frames for a low luminance area, the resolution of the gray scale of the low luminance area can be increased, and the representation of gray scale can be enhanced in a low luminance area to which the sight of a person is more sensitive.

Plasma display apparatus

The method of driving a display apparatus, in which the gradation scale is represented, by the subfield method, with less flicker even when driven at a frequency of 50 Hz has been disclosed. In this method, the two most weighted subfields (subfields of Bn brightness and Bn&#x2212;1 brightness when it is assumed that the frame is composed of n subfields and the brightness of n subfields is Bi (i=1&#x2212;n; B&#x2266;B. . . Bn&#x2212;1&#x2266;Bn)) are arranged at the interval of about half the length of the frame. Because of this, there exist two peaks of the light emission intensity in a frame, the interval being about half the length of the frame, and if the display apparatus is driven at a frequency of 50 Hz and the length of the frame is 20 ms, the variation period of the light emission intensity is 10 ms and the light emission intensity varies at 100 Hz, therefore, flicker is not detected.

Method of driving display apparatus and plasma display apparatus

A display device that can prevent the thermal destruction and screen burn-in caused by display patterns has been disclosed. In this device, the display luminance is determined by the number of light emissions, and there are provided a sustain frequency control section that controls the sustain frequency, a load ratio calculation section that calculates the load ratio for each frame of display data, plural counters, a load ratio counter control section that controls so as to increase the counts of the counters corresponding to the load ratio level calculated by the load ratio calculation section, and a first judgment section that outputs a first control signal when any of the counts exceeds a first reference value, wherein the sustain frequency control section decreases the sustain frequency according to the first control signal.

Display device

In a PDP unit, a display frame for one screen comprises a plurality of sub-frames, the luminance of each of which is determined by a sustaining pulse number. A length of one frame is calculated from the length of one cycle of a vertical synchronization signal and a sub-frame condition determination circuit determines, from the length of one frame, the number of sub-frames, the luminance of each sub-frame and a total sustaining pulse number. A load factor is calculated from an external input signal. A further circuit determines a maximum display luminance from consumed power and calculates a luminance factor, and yet a further circuit corrects the luminance drop due to a load from the total sustaining pulse number, the luminance ratio and the load factor for the respective sub-frame and calculates sustaining pulse numbers for the respective sub-frames. Thereby, the sustaining pulse numbers of the respective sub-frames are determined through calculations using the total sustaining pulse number, the luminance ratio, the load factor and the consumed power rather than using a luminance table, simplifying construction of the PDP unit while performing more accurate calculations and thereby improving display quality and providing a stable display without flickering.

Plasma display unit

The present invention relates to a display device including an interface device, which can prevent from reducing a resolving power of gray scales for a dark picture signal is provided. The interface device according to the present invention is provided to prevent from decreasing a resolving power of luminance gray scales by setting a dynamic range of an analog digital converter according to a peak value of an analog picture signal. Further, a luminance control signal for determining a luminous level of the picture to be displayed is set according to the peak value of the analog picture signal. As the result, the interface device according to the present invention can generate a display signal displaying a picture having a sufficient resolving power of gray scales with a luminance (brightness) required for the darkness, even if a dark picture, of which analog picture signal is comparatively small, is generated.

In a plasma display apparatus with power consumption control, a control method is provided that eliminates unnaturalness of images during power control and that holds power consumption to within a target value regardless of the type of image pattern displayed.
