A route generation apparatus () has: a generating device () and a setting device (). The generating device generates, on the basis of an evaluation score (SC), a moving route of a movable object () that reaches a second position (WP_end) from a first position (WP_start) so as to avoid an interference between the movable object and an obstacle (O). The evaluation score is obtained by executing a weighting process on a distance (D_FL, D_FR, D_RL, D_RR) between the obstacle and specific portions (E_FL, E_FR, E_RL, E_RR) of the movable object on the basis of weighting coefficients (w_FL, w_FR, w_RL, w_RR). The setting device sets at least one weighting coefficient on the basis of a moving condition of the movable object during a period when the movable objects moves on the moving route.

Route generation apparatus

A parking assist apparatus () has: a learning device () configured to learn a first position (WP_start) that is a position of the vehicle when a driver starts a parking operation, a second position (WP_shift) that is a position of the vehicle when the driver changes a shift range of the vehicle and a third position (WP_end) that is a position when the driver completes the parking operation during a period when the driver performs the parking operation; and a generating device () configured to generate, as a target route (TR_target) along which the vehicle should travel when the vehicle is automatically parked, a traveling route that reaches the third position from the first position via the second position on the basis of a learning result.

An object is to carry out an abnormality diagnosis for a variable compression ratio mechanism without adding any special hardware configuration for estimating a compression ratio. An abnormality diagnostic device for a variable compression ratio mechanism adapted to be applied to an internal combustion engine comprises a controller configured to calculate a predetermined rotational speed difference which is a rotational speed difference, between an engine rotational speed at a predetermined crank angle before or after compression top dead center and an engine rotational speed in the vicinity of the compression top dead center for a predetermined cylinder at the time of carrying out fuel cut processing, set a reference range of the predetermined rotational speed difference, and make a diagnosis that abnormality has occurred in the variable compression ratio mechanism when the predetermined rotational speed difference is out of the reference range.
