An orthognathic bone joining or positioning implant method for performing an osteotomy and subsequent rejoining of one or more separated bone sections to the bone in a desired repositioning, wherein the implant is manufactured such that it provides a separating tool guidance contour for separating the bone sections after attaching a first attachment area to the bone, and provides a second or third attachment area for attaching the separated bone sections to the bone in the desire repositioning without detaching said first attachment area. The method utilizes tomographic imaging to produce a target 3D model of the bone showing the repositioned bone sections based on the original 3D model of the bone.

Orthognathic sawing and positioning implant

The invention relates to an implant for attaching to a bone, having bone support surfaces or bone formfitting sections which are inclined relative to each other in order to rest on the surface of the bone. Two bone formfitting sections are aligned relative to each other in a sub-region of the implant such that surrounding the bone in the sub-region secures the position of the implant. The invention also relates to a method for producing an implant according to the invention.

A bone fusion implant for fusing a first bone region to a second bone region of a mammalian bone includes a first fixing region having multiple securing means receiving holes for attaching to the first bone and a second fixing region which is connected to the first fixing region and has multiple securing means receiving holes for attaching to the second bone region, wherein a cutting tool guiding contour which specifies a severing line is formed between the first and the second fixing region. A method for the individualized production of such a bone fusion implant includes recording an actual 3D model of the mammalian bone implant in a first data set, drafting a target 3D model, and producing the bone fusion implant by way of the target 3D model.

Orthognathic saw and positioning implant

An adjustable cranioplasty plate assembly is provided for use following a craniectomy. The assembly includes a ring which is attached to the skull around the skull opening and a plate adjustably mounted to the ring. The plate is moveable between a raised position spaced above the ring and a lower position substantially flush with the ring. The plurality of extendable and retractable struts extends between the ring and the plate to provide the plate adjustability. The plurality of stay cables extending between the ring and the plate provide lateral stability in the raised position. The assembly replaces the native bone and eliminates the need for subsequent cranioplasty surgery. In one embodiment, the plate includes a rigid central portion, three rigid mounting tabs, and a plurality of malleable tapered perimeter petals which provide a smooth interface between the plate and the skull of the patient.

A rib fixation system having a bone plate and mono-cortical bone screws adapted for affixation to a rib, the security of the system being enhanced by providing paired sets of screw-receiving openings, wherein the offset axis of each opening of the paired set is approximately ten degrees off from the normal axis in the transverse direction toward the longitudinal midline of the bone plate and is also approximately ten degrees off the normal axis in the longitudinal direction, with the offset axis of each opening in a paired set being turned toward the other opening in the paired set.

The present disclosure relates to a system for the fixing of bone segments or bone fragments comprising an implant plate or an implant surface plate having a bore or a cut-out and comprising an implant screw which can be guided through the bore or cut-out of the plate, wherein the implant screw has a screw shaft and a screw head and wherein both the screw shaft and the screw head have a thread with identical pitches.

The invention relates to a sternal closure for closing a cleft in a sternum, wherein in each of a first and a second securing area at least one hole is provided for receiving bone screws, the two securing areas being adapted to be screwed on each side of the cleft, wherein a severing site member joining the two securing areas and being integrally connected thereto is provided.
