The present invention relates to a contact assembly for a relay for switching high load currents having at least one switch contact and a braid having at least one braid end, which are electrically conductively connected to each other by a connection element. Further, the invention relates to a relay for switching high load currents with a contact assembly. Finally, the invention relates to a method for mounting a relay for switching high load currents. For the simple, electrically conductive connection of the braid and the switch contact without the contact assembly produced requiring much space within the relay, it is provided in accordance with the invention that the connection element is equipped with a contact portion directly connected to the switch contact and with a connection strap connected to the braid end, wherein the connection strap is inclined relative to the contact portion.

The present invention relates to a contact arrangement for a relay for switching high load currents. Furthermore, the invention relates to a relay for switching high load currents having a contact arrangement. Finally, the invention relates to a method for assembling a relay. In order to be able to assemble the contact arrangement in the relay in an at least partially automated manner, without additional retention devices being required for a cord, there is provision according to theinvention for the cord to be retained in an inherently stable manner owning to its shape as a self-supporting structure and for the method to have a method step in which the cord is shaped to form a self-supporting structure with a bent shape.

The invention relates to an electromagnetic relay with an electromagnetic coil for exciting a magnetic field and an iron circuit for guiding the magnetic field, wherein the electromagnetic coil surrounds at least part of the iron circuit and the iron circuit comprises a core, a movable armature and a yoke. The electromagnetic relay further comprises a contact system with a movable contact bridge which can be actuated dependent on the magnetic field. In order to provide an electromagnetic relay that is able to disconnect or connect a plurality of electric contacts simultaneously in a particularly secure and loss reduced manner, according to the present invention there are provided at least three electric contacts on the contact bridge. According to an advantageous embodiment, the contact system comprises three fixed contacts which are corresponding each to one of three phases and the contact bridge forms a star point of the three phases.
