Various embodiments of a mop include a user-manipulatable control operable by a user to generate attachment of a mop pad to a mop head and/or release of the mop pad from the mop head. The user-manipulatable control can be located on a handle of the mop in some embodiments, and on the mop head in other embodiments. Also, an actuator coupled to the user-manipulatable control can be used to move one or more grips, magnet-carrying elements, slides, wings, or clamping members to releasably secure the mop pad to the mop head, or to selectively magnetize one or more magnets for release and/or attachment of the mop pad.

A floor finish application apparatus and method for applying floor finishes to a floor. The floor finish application apparatus can include an applicator pad, which in some embodiments comprises filter material. In some embodiments, the filter material is air filter material, and has certain wet and/or dry friction characteristics, density, thickness, compressive resistance, liquid absorptive capacity, porosity, spreading capability, and/or leveling capability. In some embodiments, the pad has a stepped or otherwise uneven height.

A floor finish application tool and method for applying floor finishes to a floor. Some embodiments are provided with disposable or quickly replaceable features, such as feed lines or reservoirs to eliminate the need for time consuming clean-up operations. Some embodiments are provided with a two portion hinged head having a spreading or distributing portion and a leveling portion to provide substantially uniform floor finish thickness across a floor. Some embodiments also feature an applicator pad composed of at least two different types of material. The first material is a floor finish distributing material that serves a function of substantially uniformly spreading bulk floor finish across a floor. The second material is a floor finish finishing material that is suitable for leveling the already spread floor finish.

A fluid delivery system for a cleaning tool. In one embodiment, the fluid delivery system includes a reservoir, a first conduit and a second conduit coupled to the reservoir and adapted to selectively dispense fluid from the reservoir, wherein an end of the second conduit is moveable relative to the first conduit to dispense fluid in a plurality of directions. In another embodiment, the fluid delivery system includes a reservoir adapted to contain at least one fluid, a first conduit coupled to the reservoir adapted to selectively dispense fluid from the reservoir, and a second conduit coupled to the reservoir adapted to selectively dispense fluid from the reservoir independent of the first conduit. In another embodiment, the fluid delivery system has a reservoir with a first and second outlet wherein the second outlet selectively dispenses fluid from the reservoir independent of the first outlet.
