A method for operating a thermal imaging camera includes measuring two-dimensional temperature information including a thermal image of a setting using an infrared detector array of the thermal imaging camera, the infrared detector array including a plurality of pixels sensitive to infrared radiation. At least one of ambient humidity information and ambient air temperature information is provided. An evaluation device is used to calculate two-dimensional information about a mold formation risk. The method includes generating a mold risk map of the setting using a mold growth model and using the calculated two-dimensional temperature information, and the provided at least one of ambient humidity information and ambient air temperature information.

Method for operating a thermal imaging camera, and thermal imaging camera

The disclosure relates to a method for the noise optimization of a camera, in particular a handheld thermal imaging camera. Images are captured by means of the camera in at least one method step; at least one movement characteristic variable is detected by means of at least one sensor unit of the camera in at least one method step; and image data of captured images is averaged by means of a computing unit of the camera in at least one method step. At least a number of images to be averaged are determined by means of the computing unit of the camera at least on the basis of an intensity of the detected movement characteristic variable, in particular a change rate, in at least one method step.

Method for the noise optimization of a camera, in particular a handheld thermal imaging camera

A method and an infrared measuring system for determining a temperature distribution of a surface without contact includes an infrared detector array with a detector array substrate and respective pluralities of measuring pixels and reference pixels. The measuring pixels are each connected to the detector array substrate with a first thermal conductivity, are sensitive to infrared radiation, and each provide a measurement signal for determining a temperature measurement value that depends on the intensity of the incident infrared radiation. The reference pixels are each connected to the detector array substrate with a second thermal conductivity and each provide a measurement signal for determining a temperature measurement value. The reference pixels are implemented as blind pixels that are substantially insensitive to infrared radiation. The temperature measurement values of the measuring pixels are corrected by a pixel-associated temperature drift component determined with reference to the temperature measurement values of the reference pixels.

Method for determining a temperature without contact, and infrared measuring system

A method for contactlessly establishing a temperature of a surface includes determining the temperature measurement values of the plurality of blind pixels and determining temperature measurement values of the plurality of measurement pixels. The method further includes determining a temperature measurement value and a temperature measurement values by subtracting the temperature measurement value of the first blind pixel of the plurality of blind pixels from a temperature measurement value of a second blind pixel of the plurality of blind. The method further includes correcting the temperature measurement values by pixel-associated temperature drift components in each case, wherein the temperature drift components are determined using the temperature measurement value and/or the temperature measurement value.

A metamaterial having a negative refractive index is presented, which has a dielectric carrier material (), first electrically conductive sections () and second electrically conductive sections (). The metamaterial is distinguished by the fact that the dielectric carrier material () is realized as a volume which consists of one piece and which has at least one inner area which is prestructured by positive or negative rib or mesa structures () in the dielectric carrier material () and is covered with first sections () and second sections () in such a way that the first sections form capacitive series impedances upon illumination with an electromagnetic wave having a specific propagation direction and polarization, while the second sections are arranged in such a way that they form inductive shunt impedances upon the illumination. An optical element, a preferred use of a metamaterial and also a method for producing a metamaterial are furthermore presented. The structuring of partial regions of the metamaterial can be effected with the aid of negative/positive mesa structures.
