A combined casting and rolling installation and to a method for operating the combined casting and rolling installation. The combined casting and rolling installation comprises a rough-rolling mill train, a discharging device, a first transporting device, a quenching device, and at least one severing device. The rough-rolling mill train is configured to roll a continuously cast hot billet to form a rough-rolled strip. The discharging device is downstream of the rough-rolling mill train with respect to a conveying direction of the rough-rolled strip. The severing device is between the rough-rolling mill train and the discharging device and cuts up a first sub-portion of the rough-rolled strip into a rough-rolled strip piece. The discharging device discharges the rough-rolled strip piece. The first transporting device connects the severing device to the quenching device and transports the rough-rolled strip piece to the quenching device, which is configured to quench the rough-rolled strip piece.

Combined casting and rolling installation and method for operating the combined casting and rolling installation

A method for determining mechanical properties of a first rolled material by a hybrid model that includes production datasets relating to further rolled materials, a physical production model and a statistical data model. The production dataset relating to the first rolled material is used to determine a first mechanical dataset, a further production dataset and a metallurgical dataset and also a second mechanical dataset. An averaged normalized distance value for production datasets relating to the further rolled materials is determined that is used to ascertain the mechanical properties of the rolled material as a weighted average from the first and second mechanical datasets. When creating the hybrid model, the physical production model is used to determine further production datasets relating to the further rolled goods for training the statistical data model.

Method for determining mechanical properties of a rolled material using a hybrid model

A method for cooling a rolled product in a cooling section which is located upstream of a finishing train of a hot rolling mill. The cooling section includes a cooling device which can deliver a coolant flow of a coolant onto a rolled product surface of the rolled product. In the method, a coolant flow is delivered, by means of each cooling device and in each cooling section pass, onto the rolled product surface, which flow is set to a set value that is assigned to the relevant cooling device for the cooling section pass. Determining the ferrite phase fraction after heating or cooling of a steel strip
