The invention relates to a gliding board including a structural beam defining a longitudinal direction and having a gliding surface bordered on each side with a lateral running edge, each running edge having an edge body and an anchoring blade, the anchoring blades of the two running edges being oriented opposite one another. An inextensible connecting element locally connects the anchoring blades, at least along a portion at least of the length of the beam, and the connecting element is oriented in the extension of each of the blades.

A shock-absorbing device for a gliding board. The gliding board includes two laterally spaced apart transmission rods; at least one fixed connection making it possible to rigidly connect the first ends of both rods to the gliding board; and at least one casing adapted to be connected rigidly to the board at a certain distance from the fixed connection, which has an opening for the introduction of an inserted portion of each rod, and at least one housing containing a viscoelastic material which is in contact with the longitudinal sliding surface along at least a certain length of the insertable portion of each rod in the housing, the material being biased in shearing during the displacement of each rod portion in the housing. An object of the invention is to provide a device that absorbs both the flexional and torsional forces of the portions of a gliding board that are the most exposed to these phenomena.

Shock-absorbing device for a ski or the like

An improvement to known ski shock-absorption devices is constituted by an elongate beam having an arched portion of a length (LC) between a forward contact line and a rear contact line; the central portion including a binding mounting zone. The ski includes two transmitters located in the central portion and each on either side of the mounting zone. One of the ends of each transmitter is linked to the beam by a complete connection; the other end is connected by a partial connection, free in translation along a longitudinal direction, constituted of an elastic and/or visco-elastic element that resists the longitudinal displacement of the transmitter; the portion of length (l.sub.T1, l.sub.T2) of each transmitter between the two connections being left free, at least in translation, with respect to the beam; the ratio (l.sub.T1) of front transmitter over (l.sub.T2) of rear transmitter being comprised between 1.5 and 2.5 and (l.sub.T1 +l.sub.T2)/LC being comprised between 0.15 and 0.25.

An improvement to known ski shock-absorption devices is constituted by an elongate beam having an arched portion of a length (LC) between a forward contact line and a rear contact line, the central portion including a binding mounting zone. Under bending stress, the displacement ratio (.DELTA.1) of partially connected end of front transmitter over the displacement (.DELTA.2) of the partially connected end of rear transmitter being comprised between 1.2 and 2.5; and the stiffness ratio (K1) of the elastic and/or viscous element of front transmitter over stiffness (K2) of the elastic and/or viscous element of rear transmitter being comprised between 1.2 and 5.

Slope ski specially adapted to slalom and comprising a central down-side load-bearing portion (10) ending in a front contact line (12) beyond which is extended, in the area of the tip (2), a raised up-side portion (11) on which is mounted an asymmetrical tip end-piece (3) which extends the raised part through a central part (4) having the overall shape of a horn whose tip (34) is offset to the inside of the ski (INT) in relation to the median longitudinal axis (I, I'). The invention also relates to the deflector end-piece designed to be mounted on a ski. The invention allows the ski tip to remain in continuous contact with the snow, even in the event of contact of the skirt (5) with the slalom pole (24).

A device for absorbing shocks and vibrations between a ski and a binding includes a platform having a layer of shock absorbing material. The binding is attached to the platform by screws extending into the shock absorbing material or into a plate covering the layer. The platform is glued to the upper layer of the ski so that no screws extend into the ski.
