An exhaust gas system for an internal combustion engine includes a first exhaust gas line leading into a first muffler; a second exhaust gas line arranged fluidly parallel to the first exhaust gas line and leading into a second muffler, wherein the first and second exhaust gas lines are respectively connected upstream of the first and second muffler at a branch to a common exhaust gas feed line; a control valve arranged in the first exhaust gas line upstream of the first muffler; and a damping device fluidly arranged between the branch and the control valve and adapted for damping exhaust gas resonance vibrations.

The invention relates to a device for post-treatment of exhaust gases of a lean burning internal combustion engine, in particular a diesel internal combustion engine, with an exhaust gas channel in which downstream of a reducing agent metering device there is a catalytic converter for selective catalytic reduction as an SCR catalytic converter. According to the invention, the exhaust gas channel section which, viewed in the exhaust gas flow direction, extends between the reducing agent metering device and the SCR catalytic converter, is made as a preferably air gap-insulated exhaust gas channel section.

Device for post-treatment of exhaust gases of a lean burning internal combustion engine

An exhaust system for an internal combustion engine includes a muffler, a first exhaust pipe which is connected to the muffler for sound damping, and a second exhaust pipe which extends in terms of flow in parallel relation to the first exhaust pipe and extends through first muffler in the absence of a flow communication with the first muffler. The first and second exhaust pipes originate from a common exhaust pipe. A switching valve adjusts hereby a throughflow cross section of the second exhaust pipe.

The invention relates to a static mixer for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine-driven vehicle, with a plurality of flow guide elements which influence the flow of an exhaust gas stream and which are inclined at a given angle relative to the mixer plane and are held in the exhaust gas channel by means of at least one retaining strip. According to the invention the at least one retaining strip is made resilient at least in partial regions and/or is elastically supported in the plane of the mixer.

The invention relates to a device and a method for metering liquid pollutant-reducing media into an exhaust gas duct of an exhaust gas line of an internal combustion engine, with at least one metering means which is located in or on the exhaust gas duct and downstream to which, viewed in the flow direction of the exhaust gas upstream from a catalytic converter arrangement, a baffle body is connected such that the liquid which has been metered by means of the metering means strikes a baffle body for its distribution. According to the invention the baffle body is formed by a static mixer which has a plurality of preferably single-blade guide vane plates which project away from the mixer plane at a given angle and which are aligned such that the metered liquid, especially liquid droplets, strikes the plane of the guide vane plates essentially perpendicularly.
