Headphones are provided with a rear wall that is designed to be inwardly convex, so that sound which is radiated from the rear side of the sound-generating membrane of a sound generator is advantageously distributed in the headphone housing.

Headphone

A headphone unit comprising a headphone, a headphone pre-amplifier for pre-amplification of an audio signal to be reproduced, and a cable between the headphone pre-amplifier and the headphone. The headphone has two symmetrically designed electrostatic transducers in the push-pull mode of operation. The pre-amplifier is adapted to output an audio signal to be reproduced by way of a first amplifier stage as a voltage-amplified audio signal at an output. The headphone has second amplifier stages which are in the form of high-voltage amplifier stages which are supplied by way of the cable with a pre-amplified audio signal to be reproduced and a high-voltage supply.

Headphone unit

A method for controlling an audio amplifier unit having an audio input, an amplifier, a volume regulation unit and an audio output. An audio signal is received via the audio input and is amplified by the amplifier, and an adjustment procedure modifies an operating curve of the volume regulation unit for the received audio signal. From a modified setting of the volume regulation unit, a modified amplification value is calculated according to a first volume operating curve. The amplifier's amplification is modified to match the modified amplification value, and a second volume operating curve is determined and assigned to the calculation of modified amplification values of the amplifier. The modified amplification value is substantially at the center of the second volume operating curve. Further, the volume regulation unit is adjusted mechanically or electrically to a predefined position.

Method of controlling an audio amplifier unit and audio amplifier unit

Method and devices for providing surround audio signals are provided. Surround audio signals are received and are binaurally filtered by at least one filter unit. In some embodiments, the input surround audio signals are also processed by at least one equalizing unit. In those embodiments, the binaurally filtered signals and the equalized signals are combined to form output signals.

Methods and devices for reproducing surround audio signals

A headphone or earphone is provided which includes a housing with an open end and at least one defined dominant acoustic opening, an acoustically sealing earpad arranged at the open end of the housing, and at least one microphone arranged adjacent to common ear or in the vicinity of the dominant acoustical opening for detecting noise. The dominant acoustic opening is arranged within a radius of 2 cm around a midpoint of the at least one microphone. The headphone or earphone also includes an active-noise-compensation unit for performing an active noise compensation based on the output of the microphone and for generating a compensation signal. The headphone or earphone also includes an electro-acoustical transducer inside the housing for reproducing the compensation signal.

Headphone and headset

There is provided a dynamic sound transducer having a diaphragm system () which has at least a first and second metallized surface () which are separated from each other by an insulating surface (). The dynamic sound transducer further has a moving coil () with a coil wire (). An end of the coil wire is electrically conductingly connected to the first metallized surface () and the other end of the coil wire is electrically conductingly connected to the second metallized surface ().

There is provided an earphone having at least one housing () and at least one electroacoustic transducer () having a first and a second surface (). Headphones comprising a headband () having a first and second end. A first and second earpiece () is attached to the first and second end of the headband (), respectively. The headband comprises a first and second spring layer () and an intermediate dampening layer () arranged between the first and second spring layer ().

Provided is an electroacoustic transducer having a diaphragm (). The diaphragm () has a first and a second region (), wherein the hardness, stiffness or compliance of the first region () differs from the second region ().

Electroacoustic transducer

There is provided a transducer system for an active noise compensation apparatus, which has a first end at the ear side and an electroacoustic transducer. The electroacoustic transducer has a diaphragm system and a magnet system, wherein the central region of the diaphragm system is curved towards the magnet system and is in the form of an inverted calotte. A sensor microphone is arranged in a volume between the first end and the region of the curvature of the diaphragm system.

Converter system for an active noise compensation apparatus

There are proposed wireless headphones which have at least one electroacoustic transducer for the reproduction of audio signals, a receiver for receiving wirelessly transmitted audio data, an intermediate memory for putting the received audio data into intermediate storage, an audio decoding unit and a control unit. The audio data wirelessly received by the receiver are firstly buffered or put into intermediate storage in the intermediate memory. The control unit controls reading of the compressed audio data stored in the intermediate memory so that said data are passed to the audio decoding unit where the compressed audio data are decoded and then outputted by means of the electroacoustic transducers. Wireless transmission is effected at a higher speed than the reproduction of the stored audio signals.

According to the invention a headphone set comprises a hoop band, to each of the two ends of which is fixed a respective acoustic transducer and which extends arcuately in a plane, with at least one joint for folding the ends of the hoop band inwardly in the plane and an elastic region for resiliently expanding and narrowing the hoop band is either characterized in that the fixing of each of the transducers to the ends of the hoop band has a joint for pivoting the transducers into the plane and that arranged in the region of the two ends of the hoop band is a respective connecting structure which can be connected to each other and which then in co-operating relationship hold the folded-in ends of the hoop band in a crossed position or that the one joint for folding the ends of the hoop band inwardly is arranged at the apex of the hoop band, that the headphone set is of mirror image symmetry about a plane and that the fixing of each of the transducers to the ends of the hoop band has a joint for pivoting the transducers into the plane of symmetry which is at a right angle to the plane of the hoop band.

Headphone set

There is provided a wireless headphone having charging contacts in the headphone band and at least one magnet in the headphone band. There is also provided a charging station for a corresponding wireless headphone with bars as an electrical feed line for charge contacting of a wireless headphone.
