A low permeation weldable fuel tank assembly is provided to reduce fuel vapor permeation from a fuel tank. The weldable fuel tank assembly has a mounting portion mountable to the fuel tank and a valve housing that is attachable to the mounting portion. In one aspect, the mounting portion includes a fuel vapor permeation barrier. In another aspect, an anti-permeation cap with a fuel vapor permeation barrier is affixed to a portion of a tank assembly.

Low permeation weldable fuel tank assembly

A low permeation weldable fuel tank assembly is provided to reduce fuel vapor permeation from a fuel tank. The weldable fuel tank assembly has a mounting portion mountable to the fuel tank and a valve housing that is attachable to the mounting portion. The mounting portion includes a fuel vapor permeation barrier.

An apparatus for attachment in an aperture of a fuel tank includes a cap member, a mounting portion, and a valve housing. Two or more of the cap member, the mounting portion, and the valve housing include a system of clips and catches or a system of helical threads, which attach the components together. The mounting portion may include a multi-layer laminate to reduce a fuel vapor permeation from the fuel tank. The cap member, the mounting portion, and the valve housing are attached by various steps and methods according to the invention.

Weldring with locking arrangement for valve assembly

A low permeation weldable fuel tank assembly is provided to reduce fuel vapor mountable to the fuel tank. The weldable fuel tank assembly has a mounting portion mountable to the fuel tank and a valve housing that is attachable to the mounting portion. In one aspect, the mounting portion includes a fuel vapor permeation barrier. In another aspect, an anti-permeation cap with a fuel vapor permeation barrier is affixed to a portion of tank assembly.

A fuel vapor control valve for use in a vehicle fuel system is provided. The control valve has a rollover valve assembly with a valve member defining a point-bearing surface, a housing with an opening, and a chamber. The housing is mountable to a fuel tank. The valve member is movable within the chamber and a sealing element is movably located on the point-bearing surface of the valve member. The sealing element may be metallic and is configured to releasably seal the opening when the valve member is urged in a direction towards the opening.
