A machine for the production of knitted goods includes a plurality of stitch-forming elements, at least one stitch-forming location, an associated spinning device at the at least one stitch-forming location, at which a sliver (FB) or a yarn is produced from a roving yarn (VG) and the sliver (FB) or yarn is fed to the stitch-forming elements. The spinning device has separate drive devices, which can be actuated in a manner that enables the spinning device to produce a sliver (FB) or a yarn of variable thickness from roving yarn (VG) and which can be fed to the stitch-forming elements.

Machine and method for the production of knitted goods

A drafting device for spinning-knitting machines includes a drafting arrangement with which at least two roving yarns can be drawn parallel to form fiber strands and at an outlet of which a nozzle unit with twist nozzles arranged parallel to one another for each of the drawn fiber strands is arranged. Between the inlets of the twist nozzles, the nozzle unit is provided with a respective plate-shaped separator projection that extends up to a withdrawal roller pair of the drafting arrangement.

Drafting device for spinning-knitting machines

A method and a knitting machine for producing a knitted product composed of fiber material fed by a roller pair () are described. The stitches are formed as usual by knitting elements () being raised out of a non-knitting position into a fiber take-up position, while at the same time previously formed stitches are being knocked over, and being withdrawn again after the fiber material () is inserted. The presence of fiber material is monitored by means of a sensor (), which when there is no fiber material present emits an error signal, as a result of which the knitting elements are prevented from being raised further into the fiber take-up position. According to the invention, when the error signal occurs, the knitting elements () are withdrawn from an intermediate position again without the previously formed stitches being knocked over and without the fiber material being taken up. In addition, the sensor is preferably arranged at a location between the roller pair () and the knitting system () (FIG.).

Method and knitting machine for producing a knitted product from substantially untwisted fibre material

A machine for producing a knitted product by at least partly using untwisted fiber material () includes at least one stitch forming system, on which stitch-forming elements () can be brought into a fibre pick-up position. A thread guide () is associated with the stitch-forming system and has a passage () for the fibre material (). A drafting assembly () is associated with the stitch-forming system for attenuation of the fibre material and a spinning device (), which is arranged between the drafting assembly () and the thread guide () and contains at least one spinning element () working with a blast air flow and a transport tube () connected thereto. The transport tube () contains an outlet end () for the fibre material opening into the thread guide (). The outlet end () has an inner cross-section (D), which is exactly the same size as or smaller than an inner cross-section (D) at an outlet end of the passage (). The intensity of the blast air flow is selected such that this is sufficient at least to securely transport the fibre material () as far as the stitch forming elements () without further auxiliary means.

Knitting machine for producing a knitted product from untwisted fibre material

A knitting machine is described, which includes at least one carrier provided with knitting tools (), a cam mechanism with at least one knitting point () for moving selected knitting tools () into a yarn pick-up position and a striping attachment for feeding selected yarns to the knitting tools () brought into the yarn pick-up position. According to the invention, the striping attachment has at least one first and one second yarn changing device () such that yarns () fed optionally by the first or the second yarn changing device () may be laid into the knitting tools () brought into the yarn pick-up position at the knitting point () (FIG.).
