Certain users can be notified to manage collaboration for a software build. For example, a service can detect a copy of a file of a software build from an open-source environment being copied into a local repository of a first client device of a first user that is part of authorized users authorized to access the file. The first client device can apply a modification to the copy of the file to generate a modified copy of the file. In response to detecting the file, and prior to the first client device merging the modified copy of the file with the open-source environment, the service can identify a second user of the authorized users. The service can transmit, to a second client device of the second user, a storage notification indicating that the copy of the file has been stored on the first client device for applying the modification.

Patch sharing mechanism in open-source environments

Configuration management files can be generated to refine software package installation processes. For example, a system can identify sections of a file that can define a first installation process for installing a software package in a computing environment. Each of the sections can include commands. The system can also generate a set of tasks for each of the sections by relating each command of each section to a task provided by a package manager. The system can also generate configuration management files for each section that can define a second installation process for the software package. The configuration management files can be generated based on the sets of tasks and based on conditions of the computing environment. The system can then transmit the configuration management files to the package manager to cause the package manager to implement the second installation process for the software package.

Refining software package installation processes using configuration management files

Systems and methods for managing components of the CI/CD system in view of time-based records associated with the components. An example method comprises retrieving a plurality of records generated by a plurality of components of a continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD) system; receiving a time value; identifying, in view of the plurality of records, at least one component of the plurality of components that has been executed at the time value; and performing an action on the at least one component.

Systems and methods for managing access to a block device. An example method includes receiving, by a processing device from an entity operating in a cloud-computing environment, a memory access command referencing a block device of a distributed storage system that is accessible by a plurality of entities of the cloud computing environment; identifying a data structure associated with the referenced block device, wherein the data structure identifies entities of the cloud-computing environment that are allowed access to the block device; determining, in view of the data structure, whether the entity is allowed access to the block device by the memory access command; and responsive to determining that the entity is allowed access to the block device by memory access command, executing the memory access command.

A method identifies a proposed change associated with a source code file that comprises changed content, identifies a review comment associated with the proposed change, wherein the review comment is further associated with reviewed content of the source code file, presents, via a user interface, a notification indicating that the proposed change has been reviewed, receives, via the user interface, a request to present the review comment, and, responsive to receiving the request to present the review comment, presents, via the user interface, the review comment in association with the reviewed content. The review comment may be presented in visual association with the reviewed content in the user interface. The technology disclosed herein enables performing data correlation to optimize continuous integration environments. An example method comprises receiving, by a processor of a client device, input data identifying a plurality of execution environment parameters associated with an execution environment; retrieving, during execution of a software build job, parameter data associated with each of the execution environment parameters of the plurality of execution environment parameters; generating, in view of the retrieved parameter data, correlation data indicative of a relationship between a first execution environment parameter of the plurality of execution environment parameters and a second execution environment parameter of the plurality of execution environment parameters, wherein the first execution environment parameter reflects an observable aspect of a state of the execution environment, and the second execution environment parameter reflects an aspect associated with a performance of the execution environment; and displaying, on a graphical user interface, the correlation data.

A method includes receiving one or more characteristics associated with a server of a datacenter. The method further includes analyzing, by a processing device, the one or more characteristics to determine a classification of the server. The method further includes, in view of the determined classification of the server, modifying one or more configurations of the server to increase performance for one or more functionalities corresponding to the determined classification.

Host malfunction detection for CI/CD systems

Computing environments can be automatically deployed and configured. For example, a computing system can receive a configuration dataset and identify a plurality of variables in the configuration dataset that have values that are undefined in the configuration dataset. The computing system can generate synthesized values for the plurality of variables. The computing system can generate an updated configuration dataset based on the synthesized values in which the plurality of variables are replaced with the synthesized values. The computing system can provide the updated configuration dataset to a configuration manager for causing the configuration manager to configure a plurality of servers in a distributed computing environment automatically based on the updated configuration dataset.

Facilitating automatic deployment and configuration of computing environments

Systems and methods for providing video conference content requests to non-participants. An example method may include receiving, from a first participant of a video conference, via a first communication channel that is associated with the video conference, a content request directed to a non-participant, wherein the non-participant is not connected to the video conference; transmitting, via a second communication channel that is not associated with the video conference, the content request to the non-participant; receiving, from the non-participant, a response to the content request; and transmitting, via the first communication channel, to at least one of the first participant or a second participant of the video conference, a message reflecting the response.

Merging multiple package files into a merged package file is disclosed herein. In some examples, a processor device of a computing device retrieves a first package specification file corresponding to a first package file and a second package specification file corresponding to a second package file. The first package specification file and the second package specification file are next merged into a merged package specification file. Finally, a merged package file is generated based on the merged package specification file. The merged package file includes a first plurality of constituent files of the first package file and a second plurality of constituent files of the second package file, and in some examples may include a third plurality of constituent files of a dependency package file on which the first or the second package file depends. The merged package file thus enables more efficient and convenient software distribution and installation.
