The present invention provides a system for handling handover of communication protocol data between two satellite transponder, wherein the satellite transponders are moving in orbit around the earth, enabling to transmit communication protocol data between at least one gateway and terminal. The system is comprised of: at least one transmitter associated with a gateway, at least one de-modulator associated with the terminal a for controlling the packet transmission during handover period, wherein the system is programmed to achieve a seamless hand over process between the two satellites transponders by controlling the transfer and reception of the communication protocol packets during the handover period, by synchronizing the last received packets from the setting satellite packets with first received packets from the rising satellite, wherein seamless handover include maintaining the correct packet order, avoiding packet loss and preventing packet duplication and wherein in case the rising satellite having shorter path, the receipt or transmission of the communication protocol packets from the rising satellite is delayed.

Method and system of handling over routing of communication protocol data between two satellite communication transponders

A dual band antenna configuration constituted of: a waveguide extending from a proximal section to a high frequency band section; a first high frequency band port extending from the high frequency band section of the waveguide; a first low frequency band port extending, from an outer surface of a low frequency section of the waveguide, along a first radial path; a second low frequency band port extending, from the outer surface of the low frequency section of the waveguide, along a second radial path, the second radial path orthogonal to the first radial path; and a 180 degree hybrid coupler, wherein a first port of the 180 degree hybrid coupler in electrical communication with the first low frequency band port and a second port of the 180 degree hybrid coupler, different than the first port thereof, in electrical communication with the second low frequency band port.

Dual band antenna configuration

DVB-S/S2 transmodulator for VSAT units employing IP based communication. The transmodulator is optimized for VSAT networks, enabling legacy VSAT units to benefit from the developments of the advanced DVB-S2 standard. The transmodulator appears transparent to the legacy VSAT unit that is configured to operate with the older DVB-S standard. Some embodiments offer a unique feedback channel allowing the transmodulator to send messages and information to the ground station via the VSAT itself.
