Embodiments of the present disclosure include an oil degradation byproducts removal system. The oil degradation byproducts removal system includes a plurality of electrostatically-charged drum assemblies configured to pass through an oil flow. The oil degradation byproducts removal system is configured to be disposed within an accessory module of a turbine engine system.

Rotary oil degradation byproducts removal system

A replaceable filter media and holding mechanism apparatus is provided and includes a shell defining a pathway and an insertion bay and a body having filter media disposed therein, first and second air permeable faces on opposite sides of the filter media and first and second edge faces extending between corresponding ends of the first and second air permeable faces, the body being insertible into the insertion bay to position the filter media for filtering air flowing along the pathway with the first edge face leading the second edge face and being removable from the insertion bay with the second edge face leading the first edge face.

Replaceable filter media and holding mechanism

A method of removing moisture from inlet air flowing to a gas turbine. The method comprises the steps of providing a housing for supporting a primary air filter. The housing is operably connected with the gas turbine. A hood connected with the housing is provided. The hood has a surface disposed at an acute angle relative to horizontal. Inlet air flow is directed into a preliminary filter supported above the hood and extending in a downward direction. The preliminary filter comprises media capable of separating moisture from the inlet air flowing through the preliminary filter at an exterior portion of the preliminary filter. Separated moisture agglomerates into a drop incapable of being carried by the flow of inlet air so the drop falls onto the hood to be directed out of the flow of inlet air.
