Various examples of the present disclosure relate to a wireless communication device and to an apparatus, a device, a method and a computer program for a wireless communication device. An apparatus of a Wi-Fi station (STA), the apparatus including a radio frequency (RF) interface, and one or more processors coupled to the RF interface configured to: receive a first periodic training field and a second periodic training field of a preamble of a data packet; compare the first periodic training field of the preamble with the second periodic training field of the preamble; determine a first spurious tone parameter based on the comparison; receive a transmission frame of the data packet; determine a second spurious tone parameter based on the transmission frame of the data packet; and generate a frequency adjustment based on the first spurious tone parameter and the second spurious tone parameter.

Various aspects provide a radiohead circuit and a communication device including the radiohead circuit. In an example, the radiohead circuit includes an antenna interface, a radio frequency front end configured to receive a wireless communication signal via the antenna interface, and a processor configured to perform an initial signal detection to detect if a wireless communication signal has been received based on whether a signal the processor received from the radio frequency front end fulfill a predefined radiohead circuit detection criterion, generate an initial signal detection information comprising an information as to whether the wireless communication signal has been received based on the initial signal detection; and provide the initial signal detection information to a communication interface for a final signal detection; the communication interface configured to couple the processor to a radiohead circuit-external processor external to the radiohead circuit.

An extremely high-throughput (EHT) station (STA) may encode an EHT PPDU for transmission on a plurality of subchannels. The EHT STA may determine a spectral mask to apply to the EHT PPDU prior to transmission of the EHT PPDU. When preamble puncturing is performed, the EHT STA may apply an overall spectral mask to the EHT PPDU prior to transmission. The overall spectral mask may be based on an interim spectral mask and a preamble-puncture spectral mask. The subchannels may be in a 6 GHz band and the EHT STA may determine if preamble puncturing is to be performed for one or more of the subchannels based on a presence of incumbents in the one or more of the subchannels, although the scope of the embodiments is not limited in this respect.

A Bluetooth receiver is provided. The Bluetooth receiver comprises interface circuitry configured to receive a receive packet. Further, the Bluetooth receiver comprises physical layer processing circuitry configured to demodulate the receive packet into a bit stream representing a sequence of data symbols. Further, the physical layer configured to determine a number of bits in the bit stream having a highest likelihood of being erroneous as weak-bits and determine locations of the identified weak-bits in the bit stream. A Bluetooth receiver is provided. The Bluetooth receiver comprises processing circuitry configured to receive a receive signal and to determine receive symbols based on the receive signal. The Bluetooth receiver further comprises control circuitry configured to determine a frequency offset and/or a modulation index of the receive signal based on the receive signal. The control circuitry is additionally configured to control an operation mode of the processing circuitry based on the determined frequency offset and/or the modulation index of the receive signal.

A wireless device and method of power consumption reduction are generally described herein. The wireless device may map a plurality of data symbols to sub-carriers for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission. The wireless device may divide the plurality of data symbols into first and second groups of data symbols. The wireless device may generate a first OFDM signal from the first group of data symbols for amplification by a first power amplifier (PA). The wireless device may generate a second OFDM signal from the second group of data symbols for amplification by a second PA. The data symbols of the first and second groups may be selected to provide a PAPR of the first OFDM signal that is lower than a PAPR of a composite OFDM signal based on the plurality of data symbols.
