Systems, devices, and techniques for antenna port configuration in wireless communication systems are described. A described technique performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving configuration information that determines a bit-width value for an antenna port indication field of a downlink control information (DCI) format; receiving a DCI message that is in accordance with the DCI format; and determining an antenna port configuration for one or more demodulation reference signals based on the DCI message, the configuration information, and the bit-width value.

A generation node B (gNB) configured for aperiodic channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) triggering and transmission may encode signalling for transmission to a user equipment (UE). The signalling to indicate an aperiodic Triggering Offset (aperiodicTriggeringOffset). The aperiodic Triggering Offset may comprise a slot offset. The gNB may encode a downlink control information (DCI) for transmission that may trigger transmission of a CSI-RS in one or more aperiodic CSI-RS resource set(s) (i.e., in one or more slots (n)). The DCI triggers transmission of the aperiodic CSI-RS within a triggered slot with the slot offset (i.e., the aperiodic TriggeringOffset). The gNB may transmit the CSI-RS in resource elements of the triggered slot in accordance with the slot offset, when CSI-RS resources are available in the slot at the slot offset. The gNB may postpone transmission of the aperiodically triggered CSI-RS to a first available downlink slot when the CSI-RS resources are not available in the triggered slot at the slot offset.

Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system using an unlicensed spectrum. The UE includes a processor circuitry and radio front end circuitry coupled with the processor circuitry. The processor circuitry is configured to determine UE processing time for a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission and a second PDSCH transmission, and an additional processing time corresponding to the first and the second PDSCH transmissions. The processor circuitry is configured to process a hybrid automatic repeat and request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) assessment information for inclusion in a subframe on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) following the UE processing time and the additional processing time. The radio front end circuitry is configured to receive the first and the second PDSCH transmissions from a base station, and transmit the HARQ-ACK assessment information on the PUCCH to the base station.

A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode control information of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) received via a resource within a control resource set (CORESET) occupying a subset of a plurality of OFDM symbols within a slot. At least one of the symbols in the subset coincides with a pre-defined symbol location associated with a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) of a PDSCII. The DM-RS can be detected within the slot, the DM-RS starting at a symbol location that is shifted from the pre-defined symbol location and following the subset of symbols. The present disclosure provides systems and methods for mapping transmission configuration indication (TCI) states to demodulation reference signal (DMRS) ports groups in a wireless network. For instance, a TCI state to DMRS ports group mapping of a user equipment (UE) can be determined. Each DMRS port in a DMRS ports group shares a quasi-co-location (QCL) assumption. The TCI state to DMRS ports group mapping comprises multiple TCI state groups. The TCI state to DMRS ports group mapping corresponds each TCI state group to one or more DMRS ports groups. The first processing time parameter can be based on a PDSCH mapping type, a processing capability of the UE, and one or more timing characteristics of the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH.
