One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for providing content sharing recommendations are provided. For example, signals, associated with a user (e.g., a location of the user, an event occurring near the user, an activity being performed by the user, content of a message recently received by the user or being composed by the user, etc.), are evaluated to identify a context associated with the user (e.g., the user may be composing a social network post about a basketball game that the user is attending). The context is applied to content (e.g., photos, videos, documents, webpages, etc.), available to the user, to create contextualized content indicative of how appropriate or relevant such content is given the context (e.g., a basketball game photo may be more relevant than a work document). A content sharing recommendation of contextualized content may be provided to the user.

In response to user input associated with a previously displayed reduced-size version of an advertisement displayed in connection with a slideshow, a fall-screen view of the advertisement is displayed, for example according to a rule-based or probabilistic system to improve the applicability of the advertisement to the content being viewed. A cost-per-view (CPV) advertising model monetizes user interaction with an advertisement that results in navigating a content viewer to a landing page displayed within the viewer such that context of original content being viewed within the viewer is preserved.

Method and system for selecting and presenting web advertisements in a full-screen cinematic view

A gallery software application enables a user to browse, view, and interact with various content items, such as still images and videos. The gallery includes a graphical user interface with two modes: stack and grid. In stack mode, images (which represent content items) are divided into groups, and a group is represented by a displayed stack of images. In grid mode, images are displayed in a grid of rows and columns. The displayed stacks and images can be scrolled. When the scrolling reaches the end of a set of stacks or images, the last stack or image is displayed with perspective distortion. In grid mode, a value is displayed for meta-data of a content item that is not currently displayed. If a user indicates the displayed value, the grid is scrolled until the content item whose meta-data matches that value is displayed.

A user behavior monitoring module logs the operation of an image browser and sends the logged information to a personalization system. The personalization system includes a monitoring management module, a client statistics data store, a recommender system, and a content refinement module. The monitoring management module receives the logged information sent by the user behavior monitoring module and stores it in the client statistics data store. The recommender system determines user preferences based on the information stored in the client statistics data store. The content refinement module refines a set of content items based on the user preferences determined by the recommender system. Disclosed is a method and system for automatically forming a group to share a media file or adding the media file to an existing group. The method and system includes receiving, by a processor, a media file comprising an image, identifying, by the processor, the face of a first person in the image and the face of a second person in the image, identifying, by the processor, a first profile of the first person from the face of the first person and a second profile of the second person from the face of the second person, automatically forming, by the processor, a group of recipients in a messaging application, the forming of the group of recipients based on the first profile and the second profile, the group of recipients comprising the first person and the second person; and sharing, by the processor, the media file with the group.
