A method of manufacturing a golf club head with a plurality of stiffening members proximate the face, and particularly solid rods or a plate with one or more cutouts, is disclosed herein. The method includes the steps of preparing a wax of a golf club head body having at least one through-hole, a hollow interior, and at least one receiving pocket, preparing waxes of one or more stiffening members, inserting the wax of the stiffening members into the through-hole and seating its opposite end in the receiving pocket, bonding each of the stiffening members to the body with an adhesive material to form a combined wax mold, and casting a golf club head from the combined wax mold.

A golf club head with an adjustable weight assembly that includes a pair of stacked, rotatable circular plates with through-slots and a slidable weight that can move within the slots and clamp the plates together so that they are reversibly fixed to a body portion is disclosed herein. The plates are preferably composed of a lightweight material such as composite, and are located on the sole so that the weight assembly is visible to a user. The plate and slidable weight combination and allows for an increased range of personal performance customization by way of adjustability and interchangeability without using up available discretionary mass in the golf club head.

A golf club head comprising a channel, a slidable weight that can be reversibly fixed at any point within the channel, and a pocket to store a portion of the slidable weight is disclosed herein. The slidable weight comprises first and second weight plates, each made of materials having different densities, a lightweight retainer, a screw, and a nut. The second weight plate has the same dimensions as, and is interchangeable with, the first weight plate and is disposed in a pocket in the sole proximate the face of the golf club head. The retainer and nut have snap-fit features that allow them to remain loosely attached to one another during adjustment of the assembly and when one weight plate is swapped with the other.

The disclosure is directed to a golf club head having an adjustable tension cable disposed proximate the face. The body has a face, a sole, and a return section, and defines a hollow interior. The cable extends between the return section and the sole within the hollow interior near the face to reduce stresses placed on the face during impact with a golf ball. The cable preferably forms a woven structure, with multiple connections between the return section and sole, and the tension in the cable is adjustable via a screw connected to one end of the cable that engages a threaded bore disposed near the hosel.

A golf club head having an adjustable assembly comprising a weight arm that is at least partially suspended within an interior cavity of the body of the golf club head is disclosed herein. The weight arm, which comprises a bar with a weighted portion affixed to one end of the bar, can be moved within the interior cavity to change the golf club head center of gravity, thereby adjusting the bias of the club head.
