In some embodiments, a device modifies various aspects of a displayed user interface as the device transitions from operating in a first device mode to operating in a second device mode. In some embodiments, the modifications involve altering the content included in a user interface and varying how the content is displayed.

Techniques for managing display usage

The present disclosure generally relates to creating and editing avatars, and navigating avatar selection interfaces. In some examples, an avatar feature user interface includes a plurality of feature options that can be customized to create an avatar. In some examples, different types of avatars can be managed for use in different applications. In some examples, an interface is provided for navigating types of avatars for an application.

Avatar creation user interface

The present disclosure generally relates to managing user interface sharing. A computer system receives a representation of a first user interface template that specifies an arrangement of user interface elements. The computer system receiving a request to use the first user interface template for a respective computer system that includes a plurality of installed applications. The computer system initiates a process for creating a user interface for the respective computer system using the first user interface template. The process includes, in accordance with a determination that a first application is not available on the respective computer system, displaying an alert indicating that the first application needs to be installed on the respective computer system. The process includes, in accordance with a determination that the first application is available on the respective computer system, forgoing displaying the alert.

User interfaces for managing user interface sharing

User interface navigation on a personal electronics device based on movements of a crown is disclosed. The device can select an appropriate level of information arranged along a z-axis for display based on crown movement. The navigation can be based on an angular velocity of the crown.

User interface for manipulating user interface objects

The present disclosure generally relates to creating and editing user avatars. In some examples, guidance is provided to a user while capturing image data for use in generating a user-specific avatar. In some examples, a user interface allows a user to intuitively customize a user avatar. In some examples, avatars are generated for a messaging session based on an avatar model for a user of the messaging application. In some examples, an avatar editing interface updates a user avatar in response to gestures and based on the type of gesture and the avatar feature that is selected for editing.

An electronic device displays a compass user interface with a direction indicator and a bearing indicator. The direction indicator provides an indication of a respective compass direction, wherein the appearance of the direction indicator is determined based on the orientation of the electronic device relative to the respective compass direction. The bearing indicator provides an indication of an offset from the respective compass direction. The present disclosure relates to manipulating a user interface on a wearable electronic device using a mechanical crown. In some examples, the user interface can be scrolled or scaled in response to a rotation of the crown. The direction of the scrolling or scaling and the amount of scrolling or scaling can depend on the direction and amount of rotation of the crown, respectively. In some examples, the amount of scrolling or scaling can be proportional to the change in rotation angle of the crown. In other examples, a speed of scrolling or a speed of scaling can depend on a speed of angular rotation of the crown. In these examples, a greater speed of rotation can cause a greater speed of scrolling or scaling to be performed on the displayed view.

Crown input for a wearable electronic device

The present disclosure generally relates to generating and modifying virtual avatars. An electronic device having a camera and a display apparatus displays a virtual avatar that changes appearance in response to changes in a face in a field of view of the camera. In response to detecting changes in one or more physical features of the face in the field of view of the camera, the electronic device modifies one or more features of the virtual avatar.
