This disclosure relates to a control device for coupling an antenna assembly of a motor vehicle to at least one vehicle component of the motor vehicle for an exchange of messages with vehicle-external objects. The control device comprises a first radio module for providing a first radio link to at least one of the objects on the basis of a first radio standard, a second radio module for providing a second radio link to at least one other of the objects on the basis of a second radio standard, and a processor device for receiving some of the messages via the first radio link and some other of the messages via the second radio link. The processor device includes a synchronization unit configured to forward the received messages in a sequence determined by the time data to the at least one vehicle component.

The disclosure refers to a roof antenna module and to a method for operating the roof antenna module, wherein a communication control unit couples at least one transceiver with at least one bus connection and communication messages are transmitted between the at least one transceiver and the at least one bus connection. This approach prevents undesired manipulation of the motor vehicle from the outside. This approach uses a filter device of the communication control unit, that forwards a control instruction to the at least one bus connection only if the control instruction fulfills a predetermined safety criterion.

A switching apparatus alternately connects a mobile radio module and an E-Call controller to an antenna/ The switching apparatus includes a first signal input, a second signal input, an antenna connection and a changeover device that changes between a first switching state and a second switching state, based on at least one switching signal. In the first switching state, only the first signal input is electrically connected to the antenna connection, and in the second switching state, only the second signal input is electrically connected to the antenna connection. To prevent a connected transmission devices from diagnosing decoupling from the antenna connection as a fault, in at least the second switching state the changeover device electrically connects the signal input that is decoupled from the antenna connection to a terminating device which emulates an antenna at the signal input that is connected to the terminating device.
