An in-tank filter assembly for an industrial fluid reservoir tank includes a filter assembly mount with tank coupling elements to secure the assembly mount to a tank, and wherein the mount includes an inlet connection configured to be coupled to an inlet line of the tank; a bypass structure configured to selectively open allowing flow to flow around the filter element into the tank in bypass operation; and a disposable filter element including at least a top end cap and a bottom end cap with filter media extending between the top end cap and a lower end cap, wherein the filter assembly forms a bowl-less in tank return line filter having inside-out flow.

An in-tank filter assembly for an industrial fluid reservoir tank includes a two piece filter assembly mount comprising an upper filter mount and a lower tank extension member; an element and bypass plate; a bypass structure within the element and bypass plate; a filter element mount coupled to the element and bypass plate; the disposable filter element removably coupled to the filter element mount, wherein the filter assembly forms a bowl-less in tank return line filter having inside-out flow; and an inlet closing valve configured to selectively close off the inlet and biased toward a closed position, wherein the inlet closing valve is configured to automatically close off the inlet when the disposable filter element is removed from the filter element mount.

A PAG compressor oil conditioning filter element configured for outside in flow includes a proximal and a distal end cap, wherein the proximal endcap includes a central outlet therein, a cylindrical outer wrap having perforations there through on a portion of the outer wrap adjacent the distal end cap, wherein the flow of PAG compressor oil is configured to flow into the element through the perforations in conventional operation, an annular layer of ion exchange polymers beads radially within the outer wrap configured to remove acid from the treated PAG compressor oil, an annular particulate removing micro-glass media radially within the annular layer of ion exchange polymers beads and configured to remove particulates from the treated PAG compressor oil; and a central flow area radially within the particulate removing micro-glass media and in fluid communication with the central outlet.

A replaceable inside out flow filter element comprises an annular filter media structure; an upper end cap attached one end of the media structure; a lower end cap attached to an opposed end of the media structure, with an inner annular bypass mounting sidewall formed on the lower end cap; a bypass valve assembly secured to the inner annular bypass mounting sidewall and configured to communicate with the radial inner side of the annular filter media structure; and an annular bypass shield tube coupled to the bypass mounting sidewall and extending above the bypass valve assembly toward the upper end cap, wherein the inner annular bypass mounting sidewall and the annular bypass shield tube combine with the radial inner side of the media structure to define an annular particulate receiving area that extends about at least &#xbd; of the length of the media structure from the lower end cap.

Replacable filter element with shielded bottom bypass valve

A top or bottom mounted, in-line, in-tank return line filter element is mounted in a hydraulic reservoir. The reservoir includes a holding tank, at least one outlet extending from and one return line extending to the reservoir, an in-tank return line within the reservoir and extending to one return line, and an in-tank return line filter element mounted within the in-tank return line. The in-tank return line filter element includes an end cap, a filter media and a by-pass valve coupled thereto. The end cap includes a central fluid opening, a mounting surface for the filter media, and a peripheral attaching mechanism for attaching the filter element to the in-tank return line to form a filter assembly. The mounting surface is positioned between the central opening and the attaching mechanism such that an in-line, in-tank filter element is provided.
