Disclosed is an enthalpy exchanger for changing the enthalpy of a throughflow medium to cool process water coming from an industrial process by passing air, including: an air inlet; an enthalpy exchanger panel guiding medium so the medium exchanges enthalpy with airflows let through by the air inlet; an air throughflow space connecting to the enthalpy exchanger panel so air can only flow into the air throughflow space via the air inlets and the enthalpy exchanger panels; a fan connecting to the air throughflow space and which draws in and blows out air via the air inlet, the enthalpy exchanger panel and the air throughflow space; and a rotation-symmetrical airflow-guiding element extends both into the air throughflow space and outside the enthalpy exchanger; the airflows in the air throughflow space converge at any position and are substantially free of vortices, turbulences and areas without suction.

Enthalpy exchanger

A rotary device comprises a frame with a guide for flowing medium, a rotor with a number of blades, whereby a relation is obtained between the flowing medium and the rotation of the rotor, and energy converting means, the one part of which is connected to the frame and the other part to the rotor. The device has the feature that the end zones of the blades are connected to a ring, the ring has a radial section with the shape of an isosceles triangle or trapezium, the medium guide has an encircling recess, the form of which corresponds to the form of the ring and the ring fits with clearance into the recess, permanent magnets are added to the truncated conical surfaces, electromagnets debouch on both the corresponding surfaces of the recess, this such that the ring and the frame together form an annular induction motor or an electric generator.

An electrical device comprises a stack of electric elements, each comprising: an electrically insulating substrate, for instance of plastic, and at least one electrically conductive track connected to said substrate; the end zones of each of which tracks have terminals either for connection to a source of electrical energy, whereby electric current is conducted through each track during operation, or connection to a device for taking off electric current generated by magnetic induction in the track; which electric elements are connected mechanically to each other such that the device is unitary.

The invention relates to an electrical device comprising a stack of electrical elements, wherein: a central axis is defined in the stack; each element comprises an electrically insulating carrier; the carrier carries an electrically conductive loop-shaped track; both end zones of the track are located in the edge zone of the carrier; the loop-shaped tracks each form a turn and are arranged around the central axis in the stack; the end zones are connected to each other in electrically conductive manner such that the turns form one winding in at least groupwise manner; the carriers are congruent and each have a form such that they can be rotated from a starting position through an angle a around the central axis to a rotated position in which they take up the same space as in the starting position; adjacent elements with tracks which together form a winding are disposed rotated through an angle a relative to each other, and the mutually registered end zones are mutually connected by an electrical conductor extending transversely of the elements; the free end zones of the tracks of the outermost elements of the stack of elements form the externally accessible terminals of the or each winding; the elements are connected non-releasably to each other, and the stack has a peripheral surface with a form which is prismatic at least in its central zone, i.e. has the same cross-sectional form at any axial position.

Electrical device, in particular a coil or a transformer

A device for rotary driving of a round disk, for instance a memory disk of a computer, comprises a stator disposed fixedly relative to a frame and a rotor rotatably drivable relative to the stator. According to the invention the rotor comprises a concentric ring to which the peripheral edge of the disk is connected. The stator has an encircling recess, the form of which corresponds to that of the ring such that the ring fits with clearance into the recess. The rotor is provided with two collars of magnetically active elements in angularly equidistant arrangement, and the stator comprises electromagnets disposed at the same angular distances. The arrangement is such that the rotor and the stator together form an annular induction motor. The rotor is preferably suspended magnetically during operation.

Arrangement for rotatably driving a round disk

The invention relates to a rotation device, such as a pump or a hydromotor of the rotating type, wherein a rotation-symmetrical rotor bounds at least two rotor channels together with radial baffles. The rotor comprises two generally goblet-shaped dishes, the innermost dish of which is stiffened by a first stiffening plate which has a peripheral widening, for instance branches in its peripheral zone into at least two rings which are rigidly connected with at least two respective bent peripheral edges, substantially over the whole outer surfaces thereof, to the inner surface of the peripheral edge of the relevant dish such that the stiffness of the peripheral edge of the dish is increased.

Rotation device

A fan includes a frame, rotor supported by this frame and having a central hub and a number of blades and a drive mechanism for rotatably driving the rotor, in addition to a ring to which the end zones of the blades are connected. The ring is assembled from two part-rings of the same form which each include a circular strip of sheet material, the free ends of which are mutually connected to form the outer surface of a truncated cone, and a third part-ring which mutually connects the inner edges of the first two part-rings. The end zones of the blades are connected to the third part-ring. The ring has a diameter of more than about 1.50 m. The number of blades amounts to at least eight. The blades are hollow and include a framework structure which is provided with a skin connected thereto.

A screw coupling between two bodies, one having an external screw thread and another having an internal screw thread complementary thereto, which screw threads are superimposed onto two base surfaces monotonously narrowing and widening respectively in the direction of a central axis, the longitudinal section of each of these screw threads relative to the central axis being a periodic univalent function which is continuous at least at the inflection points. The screw coupling has the following features: the first and second derivatives of the longitudinal section of each screw thread along the base surface is a continuous function; the second derivative of the longitudinal section of each screw thread relative to the central axis is a continuous function at least in the region of the inflection points; and the screw threads are in mutual contact over a substantial surface area differing from line contact.

Conical screw coupling

A rotation device including first and second passages and a rotor shaft with a rotor which connects onto the first passage with a third passage which branches into rotor channels from the third to a fourth passage. The end zones of the third and fourth passages extend axially. The rotation device has a stator including a first central body with an outer surface which co-bounds a passage space with stator blades which have on one end zone forming a fifth passage a direction differing from the axial direction and on another end zone forming a sixth passage a direction differing little from the axial direction. The fifth passage connects onto the fourth passage and the sixth passage connects onto the second passage. The stator includes a second central body where between the sixth passage and the second passage extend manifold channels bounded by the second central body and the housing.
