A data transmission architecture, in particular for use in on-board avionics is disclosed. The data transmission architecture includes at least one main data transmission network with integrated functional nodes for connecting a plurality of peripheral data transmission networks to the main network, in order to provide data transmission between the networks. The data transmission architecture also includes a direct connection of peripheral networks to one another so as to allow the transmission of data directly between the peripheral networks without passing through the main network. The main network includes a plurality of associated sub-networks.

Bridge-based data transmission architecture, in particular for use in on-board avionics

A functional node for an information transmission network and corresponding network are disclosed. In one aspect, the functional node includes at least one module for distributing messages between input and output ports. The distribution module includes at least one combination of at least three ports, including a first input port connected to a second output port by a first capability for unconditionally propagating messages, not depending on the messages. The first and/or second ports are connected to a third port by a second capability for conditionally propagating messages, depending on the messages.

Functional node for an information transmission network and corresponding network

This network comprising functional nodes connected in series by information transmission means, in which the information assumes the form of discrete messages propagating from node to node in the network, is characterized in that the information transmission means for transmitting information between the nodes are bidirectional so as to allow information to propagate in both directions of flow of the network, and each node includes at least one first and one second associated port, for information input/output, connected to adjacent nodes by corresponding information transmission means and the operation of which is controlled by communication automaton means, between an operating mode for the asynchronous reception of information from its adjacent nodes and an operating mode for the synchronous transmission of information to the nodes adjacent thereto, and in that the communication automaton means are suitable for triggering the activation of the communication of information from the node to its adjacent nodes following the beginning (, SOF) of the reception of information from each of them.

Information transmission network and node

The field of the invention is that of solid-state laser gyros used in inertial control units. However, there are certain technical difficulties in producing laser gyros of this type that are due partly to the fact that the counterpropagating waves interfere with each other in the amplifying medium. A laser gyro according to the invention comprises at least one solid-state amplifying medium and an optical ring cavity comprising first optical means for imposing a first linear polarization state common to the two counterpropagating optical waves at the entrance and exit of the zone containing the amplifying medium and second optical means for imposing, within the amplifying medium, a second linear polarization state on the first optical wave and a third linear polarization state on the second optical wave, these polarization states being perpendicular. Thus, all the drawbacks associated with interference are eliminated.
