The present invention relates to a multi-purpose drilling tool with a boring head, a drill twist connected thereto and a downstream clamping shank, a cutting element () being provided on the working side of the boring head. The cutting element () has a face () with a rake angle (&#x3b3;) having a value of &#x3b3;&#x2267;0&#xb0; b, the cutting element () having a flank () with a lip clearance angle (&#x3b1;) having a value of 5&#xb0;&#x2266;&#x3b1;&#x2266;15&#xb0; and, in particular, &#x3b1;&#x2248;10&#xb0;.

Multi-purpose drilling tool

The invention relates to a drilling tool (), in particular for working concrete, rock, masonry and suchlike materials, having a tool head with cutting body () which has at least one front rake face (), at least one rear flank ([lacuna]) and at least one front-end cutting edge (), the cutting edge () separating the rake face () and the flank ([lacuna]). In this case, the rake face () is formed by at least two cutting faces ([lacuna]) merging into one another at at least one second cutting edge ().

Drilling tool

A rock drill including a helical shank and a drill head. The drill head has an end face pointing in a feed direction and at least one roof-shaped carbide cutting element on the end face of the rock drill. The carbide cutting element extends transversely across the drill head and has cutting edges. The end face of the carbide cutting element has an additional chip space at least in front of the carbide cutting element and includes an encircling step to create the additional chip space in the feed direction.

Rock drill

A rock drill which has a cutting tip of roof-shaped design at its front end is proposed. In order to achieve a reduction in the loading of the carbide cutting tip or an increased drilling capacity in particular in concrete, the flanks are subdivided into flank sections in order to achieve a slimmer embodiment of the drill head.

A rock drill for hammer drilling machines is proposed, which has a helical shank and a drill head which is connected thereto and on whose end face are arranged a main cutting tip inclined in the shape of a roof and also auxiliary cutting tips disposed transversely thereto. The drill head has two laterally opposite flats for the formation of drilling dust grooves. In plan view the drill head has a very largely rectangular shape in cross section, an acute angle .beta..sub.1 being enclosed between the main cutting tip and the trailing auxiliary cutting tips.

A drilling tool and, in particular, a rock drill for the creation of breaches in concrete or masonry for the use of drill hammers is proposed, which is configured as a cross drill bit having four cutting fins. In order to optimize drilling capacity, the drilling tool is provided with a cross drilling head which merges in one piece into a conveyor spiral matched to the drill head. A purpose-specific cutting element facing serves to optimize the drilling capacity.

A drilling tool which is suitable especially for clearing drill dust from a drillhole in rock-drilling work is provided. For this purpose, the spiral shank has brush elements (6, 17) which are arranged in the groove bottom of a conventional drilling tool or which themselves form spiral feed coils.

A rock drill having a drilling head which, in an asymmetric arrangement relative to the main cutting tip, has at least one additional secondary cutting tip, the angle enclosed between the single cutting edge of the main cutting tip and the secondary cutting tip being formed as an acute angle.

A drilling tool for percussion drilling machines is proposed which has an increased endurance strength or fatigue strength when used in percussion drilling machines having a high striking speed. For this purpose, the carbide cutting tip (11) is arranged transversely to the flute runout (12, 13) so that the effective moment of resistance area in the area of the groove root (22) of the recessed groove (14) is not weakened by flute runout surfaces.

Drilling tools

A drilling device with an arrangement for the detachable connection of a drill, especially a rock drill, percussion drill, hammer drill, and the like, to a receiving device, e.g. a drive head, which has a longitudinal bore for receiving the shank of the drill, and also has a driving part which is drivingly connectable to a drilling machine and is coaxial with the longitudinal bore. The drilling device furthermore comprises a drive transmitting member movable in the driving part transverse in the longitudinal bore of the receiving device. The drive transmitting or follower member is arranged to engage a bottom face of a recess in the shank of the drill. This recess has a segment-shaped cross section and has a bottom extending continuously over the entire corresponding width of the drill shank. On the driving part a securing part is mounted which is movable substantially in axial direction of the driving part into a position in which the drive transmitting member is arrested in its drive transmitting position and also into a position in which the drive transmitting member is released from its drive transmitting position and action.
