In an example, a method comprises communicating with a radio frequency (RF)-enabled asset tag within a space, tracking a location of the RF-enabled asset tag within the space, determining location estimates of the asset tag as the asset tag moves within the space, and accepting identifying information from or about a selected user. The method additionally comprises determining, based on a predetermined correspondence criteria, a correspondence between the asset tag location and a position estimate of an electronic hardware device within the space. Further, in response to determining the correspondence between the asset tag and the electronic hardware device and based at least in part on the identifying information accepted via the electronic hardware device, the method includes associating tracked asset tag location information corresponding to the location estimates of the asset tag as the asset tag moved within the space to identification of the selected user.

A lighting control system includes a daylight sensor configured to receive visible light control signals to set or adjust one or more parameters of the daylight sensor including, e.g., a set point (i.e., an acceptable lighting level). The lighting control system also includes a non-transitory computer program product that includes programming instructions that may be downloaded to, e.g., a mobile device and/or may be executed by a processor or like device. The programming instructions may be configured to provide a user interface related to the daylight sensor, receive via the user interface one or more user inputs related to the daylight sensor, and modulate a light output of a light source to transmit visible light control signals corresponding to the received one or more user inputs. Methods of programming a daylight sensor with visible light control signals are also provided, as are other aspects.

A daylighting device includes a photo-voltaic (PV) device that is mounted in or proximate to the daylighting device that provides sunlight to a service area. The PV device generates a power signal from incident sunlight. The power signal provides operational power to circuitry associated with the daylighting device, such as a transmitter that transmits a value representing the intensity of light on or near the daylighting device. This signal, which is generated either from the power signal or from a signal provided by a photosensor mounted in or proximate to the daylighting device, may be used by a control system to adjust light levels provided by artificial light sources to supplement the sunlight provided by the daylighting device to approach the desired light level in the service area.

The invention regards a system and method for using a handheld programming device to configure a lighting control system wirelessly. In one embodiment, at least one device configured with a processing section is installed in the lighting control system. A communications receiver that is operable to receive a signal from the handheld programming device is also installed in the lighting control system, wherein the signal includes an instruction for configuring the lighting control system. Further, the signal is wirelessly sent from the handheld programming device to the communications receiver, and the instruction is transmitted from the communications receiver to a device in the system. The instruction functions to configure the lighting control system.

A processing circuit for providing electronic photosensor information over a communication link. The processing circuit comprises a photosensor input circuit adapted to be directly coupled to a photosensor for receiving the electronic photosensor information from the photosensor. Further, a communication port is provided that allows for transmitting and receiving messages over the communication link. Moreover, a processor is provided that is coupled to the photosensor input circuit and the communication port. The processor determines whether the processor is operating in a default configuration, and broadcasts the electronic photosensor information on the communication link if the processor is operating in the default configuration.

The ballast comprises a power circuit portion for providing an electrical current to power a lamp.
