A buckle structure has a female part and a male part. The female part has a cavity for insertion of an axial tab formation of the male part, which has transverse seats on opposite lateral edges for engagement by fastening members on the female part. The fastening members have teeth located on opposite sides of a longitudinal direction of coupling of the buckle, which form between them a transverse aperture for the insertion of the tab formation. The buckle has button-like release members connected to the fastening members and operable manually by pressing transverse to the buckle, to disengage the fastening members from the seats. The fastening members and the release members act in coinciding or parallel transverse directions, so that the simultaneous pressing of the buttons towards each other causes the fastening teeth to move away from the engagement seats on the tab formation.

Buckle structure

A strap buckle comprises a male element and a female element which can be snap-fitted together and each of which has means for the connection of a respective portion of strap. The connection means include a device for adjusting the tension of the respective portion of strap, the device comprising two crosspieces which extend between two cheeks of the respective buckle element and define two slots which can be engaged by the strap, for which they define a tortuous path. The adjustment device includes a catch which is articulated to the cheeks about an axis parallel to the crosspieces and which can adopt a clamping position in which it interferes with the strap, preventing the strap from sliding in the slots, or a release position in which it is spaced from the strap.

An adjustable clasp comprises a retainer body having an elongate cavity within which slides a strap having saw teeth. The retainer body includes a main generally non-deformable body from which extends a flexible tongue provided with pawls projecting into the cavity to engage the teeth of the strap, and at least one resilient wing facing the flexible tongue and engagable under pressure to disengage the pawls from the teeth of the strap. The retainer body has guide members on the main portion and second guide members close to the opposite end of the main body, to maintain the strap close to the pawls. The second guide members include a contact portion extending from the resilient wing at its end opposite the main portion of the retainer body.

The method consists in simultaneously press-molding inside a single die a rectangular frame and a transverse movable cross-piece, which have a sliding relationship to each other to form a buckle with a sliding crossbar. Synthetic resins are simultaneously injected in different points into a die after having inserted in the die a sliding separation and coupling means to obtain the sliding coupling of the two piece of the buckle simultaneously with the molding of the same.

Buckle on which a female part having a receiving opening at one end and an adjacent locking edge on the opposite side to the opening, and a male part, having a locking portion and an activating portion, are designed to connect in releasable manner; the buckle being characterised by the fact that the locking and activating portions are formed on an intermediate portion and the free end respectively of a flexible tongue projecting from the male part in the insertion direction, the flexible tongue being connected to a further essentially-rigid contrasting tongue on the male part, the distance between the tongue and the locking portion on the flexible tongue being greater than the height of the receiving opening.

Releasable buckle particularly for bags, satchels and similar articles

A buckle of the snap closure type consists of two identical parts, each of which has a male member and a female member. The male member of the one part is adapted to engage by snap action the female member of the other part. The fact that the two parts forming the buckle are identical substantially simplifies both the manufacturing of said parts and their storage.
