A compact-size electromagnetic clutch reaches a blocking state as an electromagnetic solenoid is switched from a non-driving state to a driving state and can save wasteful consumption of energy under this blocking state. This electromagnetic clutch includes a wrap spring in pressure-contact with an outer face of a cylindrical portion of a drive pulley provided on the center side thereof. One end of the wrap spring is coupled to a drive arm of a drive member operably connected to a shaft. The other end of the wrap spring is coupled to an operational member rotatable relative to the shaft and movable along the rotational axis thereof. An electromagnetic solenoid attracts the operational member. An operational mechanism permits realization of the blocking state by preventing rotation of the drive member after a twisting operation of the wrap spring subsequent to the attraction of the operational member by this electromagnetic solenoid.

Electromagnetic clutch

An electromagnetic clutch is configured to achieve a cutoff state by changing a winding diameter of a wrap spring. The electromagnetic clutch includes a driving element connected to a shaft and supporting one end of the wrap spring, an operating element fitted on the shaft and supporting the other end of the wrap spring, and an armature rotatable in unison with the shaft between the driving element and operating element and movable along a rotational axis. A main aperture is formed in the operating element while an auxiliary aperture is formed in the armature to achieve a positional relationship to electrify an electromagnetic solenoid to attract the operating element and then allow rotation of the driving element by dynamic inertia and attract the armature to the operating element with the wrap spring being remote from an inner surface of an input pulley.

An electromagnetic clutch includes a wrap spring being wound around to be in a pressure bonding state relative to an outer peripheral surface of a tubular portion of a driving-side rotation member. A first end of the wrap spring connects to a driving arm of a driving member, which connects to a driven-side rotation member. A second end of the wrap spring connects to a rim portion of an operating member formed in a disc form. The operating member is rotatable relative to the driven-side rotation member about the rotation axis as the center and movable along the rotation axis. After a rotation of the operating member is restrained, the driving member is restrained from rotation, which operates the wrap spring to twist and cancels the pressure boding state of the wrap spring relative to the driving-side rotation member, which in turn provides a power cutoff state.

A water pump for a vehicle includes a power transmission member driven and rotated by an external power, a driven shaft driven to be rotatable independently from the power transmission member, an impeller, an arm member which includes a pressing portion pressing the power transmission member and which is contactable to the power transmission member for transmitting a rotation of the power transmission member to the driven shaft, a control member controlling the arm member so that the arm member and the power transmission member come in contact with each other or come out of contact from each other and so that a contact state between the arm member and the power transmission member is variable, and a biasing member biasing the arm member toward the power transmission member.

A water pump for a vehicle includes a power transmitting member, a driven shaft rotated independently from the power transmitting member, an impeller, a biasing member for pressing an inner circumferential surface of the power transmitting member and for rotating in order to transmit a rotation of the power transmitting member to the driven shaft when the biasing member contacts the inner circumferential surface, and a control member for allowing the power transmitting member and the biasing member to come in contact with each other or to come out of contact from each other and for controlling a contacting state between the power transmitting member and the biasing member.

Water pump for vehicle

An electromagnetic clutch includes a base portion, a driving member, a driven unit including an output shaft, and an electromagnetic solenoid. The driving member, the driven unit, and the electromagnetic solenoid are assembled on the base portion. The driven unit includes an intermediate member that engages with the output shaft to transmit a torque while being relatively moved towards a rotational axis, the intermediate member being magnetically attracted to the base portion. The driven unit also includes a rotation member that is biased towards the driving member and that is pivotally supported to transmit a rotation of the driving member to the output shaft, a guide mechanism that causes the rotation member to be separated from the driving member while the intermediate member is restrained from moving by being magnetically attracted, and a holding mechanism holding a position of the rotation member that is separated from the driving member.

An air intake control apparatus includes a body forming an intake passage for an internal combustion engine, a bore member retained within the body to be movable relative to the body and having a bore being in communication with the body and having an internal peripheral surface forming a portion of the intake passage, at least one shaft body penetrating through the bore member and rotatably provided at the body, at least one valve body fixed to the shaft body so as to adjust an opening degree of the intake passage in the bore member, and a reference portion defining a relative position of the bore member to the shaft body in an axial direction of the shaft body.

In order to provide an engine oil supply apparatus including a second oil pump () which can draw in and discharge oil quickly regardless of whether or not a first oil pump () is driven and which does not need to be large, an engine oil supply apparatus (Y) includes a first oil pump () drawing oil through a first oil passage () from an oil holder () holding oil, a second oil pump () connected in series with the first oil pump () through a connection oil passage () and driven independently of the first oil pump (), a first supply oil passage () for supplying oil to a first circulation section () from the first oil pump (), and a second supply oil passage () for supplying oil to a second circulation section () from the second oil pump (). In the engine oil supply apparatus (Y), a first oil reservoir () holds oil to be supplied to the second oil pump () and is provided independently of the oil holder () is provided.

Engine oil supply apparatus

A pipe mechanism for an exhaust gas recirculation system includes a joint pipe connected to an exhaust pipe, an inner tube through which flows exhaust gas, and an outer tube. The inner tube has an upstream end and a downstream end, with the downstream end being located in the intake pipe. The outer tube has an upstream end connected with the joint pipe and a downstream end attached on the outer surface of the inner tube. The outer tube is located around the inner tube with a predetermined clearance between the inner and outer tubes.
