In an electric motor system, a power conversion device includes, for each phase, two sets each of which includes an upper arm and a lower arm that are connected in series, the two sets being connected in parallel to a direct-current power supply. The electric motor is a star-connected electric motor. The electric motor includes two coils for each phase.

Electric motor system

After system stop of an electric vehicle, a vehicle control ECU of a supplemental charging control device refers to a table, which indicates a relationship between an auxiliary equipment battery voltage, a supplemental charging start time, and a voltage reduction prospective value, determines the voltage reduction prospective value, calculates a correction coefficient using the determined voltage reduction prospective value, etc., and then adjusts the next supplemental charging start time based on the calculated correction coefficient.

Supplemental charging control device for electric vehicle

Provided is an electric vehicle control device in which a power supply device has a simple structure. A BMU power supply device () lowers a battery voltage to be suitable for the control voltage of a BMU (). A flyback down-regulator () lowers the battery voltage to be suitable for an input of a CPU power supply device () which forms a control voltage for a CPU (). A contactor () is disposed on a plus-side line which connects a battery () to a motor drive circuit (), and is opened and closed in response to an instruction from the CPU (). Control power for the down-regulator () is formed by the BMU power supply device (), and a main switch () is disposed to open and close a path through which the voltage of the control power is input to the down-regulator ().

Electric vehicle control device

An electric vehicle has simple structure allowing effective cooling of on-board batteries collectively disposed within a swing arm. The electric vehicle includes a swing arm that houses an electric motor that is swingably mounted to a vehicle body and drives a drive wheel WR, and batteries of a substantially rectangular parallelepiped. A wide case portion that houses the batteries is formed at a position toward a pivot shaft of the swing arm. Also, a protruding portion for forming an air reservoir space above the batteries is formed at a roof portion of the wide case portion. The batteries are disposed side by side in a front-rear direction of the vehicle body. The protruding portion, in a side view of the vehicle body, is substantially convex protruding upward across the batteries.

Electric vehicle

A motor driven vehicle can include a swing arm swingably mounted to a vehicle body of a motor driven vehicle, and housing an electric motor driving a drive wheel of the vehicle. A pipe-like duct can have one end side connected to a hole communicating with an inside space of the swing arm, and another end side extending toward a vehicle body side. A harness, configured to drive the electric motor, can be inserted through the duct.

Motor driven vehicle

A battery mounting structure for use on saddle-type electric vehicles which contributes to an increase in the rigidity of a vehicle body frame and attempts to achieve an increased battery carrying capability. Each of battery modules is in the form of a quadrangular prism having long sides and short sides as viewed in plan and vertical sides longer than the long sides. A vehicle frame includes a bulging region in which each of main frames bulges outwardly from a head pipe as viewed in plan and a narrow region in which the distance between the main frames is reduced behind the bulging region. The battery modules include battery modules whose long sides extend along transverse directions of the vehicle in the bulging region and battery modules whose long sides extend along longitudinal directions of the vehicle in the narrow region.

Battery mounting structure for saddle-type electric vehicles

A drive wheel is intermediation driven by an additional element, while achieving a reduction in cost by making use of a plurality of existing motors. A drive motor as a drive source includes a plurality of motor bodies arranged coaxially with and adjacently to each other in the vehicle width direction to permit integral driving thereof, and is disposed forwardly of a pivot for a swing arm supporting the driving wheel. One end in the vehicle width direction of a drive shaft of the drive motor is made to be an output end for output to the driving wheel, and a drive sprocket for power transmission to the driving wheel is provided at the output end. The center of the drive motor in the vehicle width direction is disposed with an offset to the side opposite to the side of the drive sprocket with reference to the vehicle body center.

Sports type, saddle type electric vehicle

An electric motorcycle is provided such that even if a power drive unit is mounted to a swing arm, it is difficult for a load to be applied to wiring connected to the power drive unit. In an electric motorcycle in which a PDU and a running-purpose power-generating motor are attached to a swing arm turning around a pivot shaft, and electricity from batteries is supplied via a contactor box to the PDU, from which the electricity is supplied to a power-generating motor, torsional portions extending generally parallel to the pivot shaft are provided at a portion of output lines connecting the contactor box with the PDU so as to allow torsion to absorb swinging movement of the swing arm.

Electric motorcycle

A bicycle simulation system that can be easily transported includes a frame, a steering handle operated by a rider, a left-right pair of pedals to be operated by the rider for rotating a flywheel, two front forks for supporting the head tube and a rotatable rear wheel. The rear wheel is grounded on a floor so that it supports the frame, together with the front forks. The bicycle simulation system ensures that the operations of a brake lever are accompanied with the same feeling as that in operating a real bicycle. A brake lever is operated by the rider with a drum brake for frictionally braking the rotation of the flywheel in conjunction with the brake lever. A brake wire extending from the brake lever and is branched into two brake wires, one connected to the drum brake, and the other connected to the rotational sensor.

Bicycle simulation system

To simulatively implement a retreating movement of a bicycle in a state wherein a rider dismounts from the bicycle. A simulated bicycle includes a steering angle sensor for detecting a steering angle of a handlebar, a momentary type retreating switch provided at a rear lower portion of a saddle, and a monitor for displaying a scene based on a simulated traveling speed, the steering angle and a signal of the retreating switch. When the retreating switch is operated, an image of a bicycle and a person who operates the bicycle to retreat is displayed on the monitor. The retreating switch is operated through a level so that the rider having dismounted from the bicycle can readily manually operate the same.

Bicycle simulation apparatus

A bicycle simulation apparatus includes: a steering angle sensor which detects a steering angle of handlebars; a visual display which displays scenes based on a simulated travel speed and the steering angle of the handlebars; and a crank position detector which detects rotational positions of cranks. The crank position detector includes two detected protrusions on a crankshaft and left and right approach sensors. A warning section of a main controller issues warnings if it is determined that the steering angle exceeds a predetermined angle to the left or right during simulated traveling, and if it is also determined by the crank position detector that the crank is directed downward during a sharp turning operation of the handlebars. The bicycle simulation apparatus enables a more realistic driving simulation in consideration of rotational positions of simulator pedals and cranks.

To realize a light steering handle operation similar to that of a real bicycle, and to obtain an appearance similar to that of a real bicycle. A bicycle simulation system has a turnable steering handle, a left-right pair of pedals, a frame for turnably supporting the steering handle and the pedals, a monitor for displaying a scenery according to the simulated running velocity required by a first speed pickup, a controller supplying sensor signals to a main control unit which controls the monitor. The controller is provided on front forks that function as a front stand.

An electric powered vehicle which is powered by an electric motor via a battery, includes a front frame which extends diagonally downward toward the rear of the vehicle from the head pipe, an intermediate frame which is bent toward the rear of the vehicle at the bottom end of the front frame and which is substantially horizontally extending toward the rear of the vehicle, and a rear frame which extends from the intermediate frame diagonally upward toward the rear of the vehicle. A front portion of the intermediate frame includes a partition plate extending diagonally upward toward the rear. The battery is retained within the intermediate frame, and restrained from motion in the longitudinal direction, by the partition plate and the rear frame. This structure provides an electric powered vehicle whose battery is effectively and removably mountable on the body frame in a limited space thereof.

Electric powered vehicle

A motorcycle with a seat frame and seat attached to a seat post. The seat frame is covered with the seat as viewed from above and is structured so as to hold an article in an exposed state thereon to form an article accommodating space below the seat. The rear wheel of the motorcycle is driven by a motor to which power is supplied from a battery. The voltage of the battery is converted by a charging and voltage conversion section to supply power to electrical equipment. The charging and voltage conversion section is attached in an exposed state to a vehicle body frame. A battery for supplying power to a motor is provided with a charging and voltage conversion apparatus for charging the battery. A charging cable for energizing the charging and voltage conversion apparatus is disposed in a hollow portion of a vehicle body frame.

Under-seat structure for a motorcycle

A two-wheeled vehicle simulation apparatus includes a vehicle simulator having a saddle which the driver sits on and handlebars operated by the driver, a mat switch laid on a floor in the vicinity of the vehicle simulator, and a monitor displaying information and images based on signals obtained from pedals, the handlebars, and the mat switch. Two or more of the mat switches are provided to independently sense respective placement of one or both feet on the floor by the driver. When two detectors substantially alternately detect placement of the driver's right and left feet on the floor, an image of a two-wheeled vehicle and a person walking the two-wheeled vehicle is displayed on the monitor. The vehicle simulator permits simulation of the action of a driver putting his/her foot on a road surface to achieve more realistic simulation.
