A grease composition for rolling bearing comprising a metal soap-based thickening agent containing a long fiber-like material having a major axis length of at least 3 &#x3bc;m incorporated in a base oil comprising a lubricant having a polar group in its molecular structure and a non-polar lubricant blended in combination.

Grease composition for rolling bearing

Grease which includes a base oil containing at least 50% by mass of a specific diester compound of a glycol with a branched carboxylic acid, and a specific diurea compound as a thickener. The grease is excellent in low-temperature performance and has low oil separation tendency. In particular, when used in a rotation transmission device having a built-in one-way clutch, the grease can provide satisfactory clutch engagement performance (intermeshing) at low temperatures and is less apt to cause oil separation under high centrifugal force.

Grease

A grease which comprises a base oil containing at least 50% by mass of a diester compound having a total carbon number of 28 to 40 and represented by the general formula (I):ROOC&#x2014;(R)&#x2014;COOR&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)wherein Rand Reach independently represent a Cto Cmonovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group, Rrepresents a Cto Cdivalent hydrocarbon group and n is 0 or 1. The grease is excellent in both low-temperature performance and high-temperature performance and has low oil separation tendency even under high centrifugal force (acceleration). In particular, when the grease is used in a rotational transmission device having a built-in one-way clutch, the grease can provide satisfactory clutch engagement property (intermeshing ability) at low temperatures and a prolonged bearing life at high temperatures and is less apt to cause oil separation under high centrifugal force.

A male shaft and a female shaft are non-rotatably and slidably fitted to each other and an outer peripheral portion of the male shaft and an inner peripheral portion of the female shaft come in contact with each other to transmit a torque during rotation. A grease composition which has an apparent viscosity of 400 to 750 Pa&#xb7;s (25&#xb0; C.) at a shear rate of 10 secas defined in JIS K2220 is enclosed in a gap between the outer peripheral portion of the male shaft and the inner peripheral portion of the female shaft.

A rolling bearing includes a plurality of rolling elements movably retained at almost the same interval between an inner ring and an outer ring with a cage made of synthetic resin provided interposed therebetween. A grease composition is disclosed, wherein a metallic soap-base thickener containing a long-fiber material having a major axis part length of at least 3 &#x3bc;m is blended with a base oil obtained by mixing a lubricating oil having a polar group within the molecule structure and a non-polar lubricating oil, which can improve the initial sound (cage sound) of bearing at the starting of operation in a low-temperature environment and is effective on the reduction of fretting damage (abrasion) or torque, and also a rolling bearing and a linear acting apparatus each obtained by packing the grease composition are disclosed, which exhibit excellent low-temperature acoustic property and are reduced in the fretting damage (abrasion) or torque.

This invention is to provide a conductive grease which is less to decrease conductivity as a time passes. The conductive grease comprises a base oil, a thickener, a conductive solid powder, and at least one kind of a wear inhibitor, an extreme pressure agent and an oiliness agent, wherein an amount of the conductive solid powder added is 0.1 to 10 wt %, and an amount of the at least one kind of a wear inhibitor, an extreme pressure agent and an oiliness agent added is 0.1 to 10 wt %. A ball bearing to be favorably used at high temperature comprises an inner race and an outer race, and a plurality of balls freely rotating between both races, and the conductive grease packed into a space defined between both races and holding the plural balls therein, and the conductive grease comprises the base oil, a thickener comprising fluorine compound or silicone compound and 0.2 to 10 wt % of the carbon black.
