A recording device includes a recording unit configured to perform recording on a medium, and a discharge tray located above the recording unit in a height direction of the recording device and configured to support the medium discharged after recording is performed thereon, and a flow path of air for cooling a cooling target is formed along a lower surface of the discharge tray. The recording unit is an example of the cooling target.

A printer includes a record section, a discharge section, a mount section, a movable rib, a move section, and a control section. The record section records on a sheet by ejecting an ink to the sheet. The discharge section discharges the sheet. The mount section has a mount surface on which the sheet discharged is mounted. A movable rib is configured to protrude from the mount surface and supports the sheet. The dimension of the movable rib in an A-direction is larger than the dimension thereof in a Y-direction. The move section moves the movable rib in a C-direction. The control section controls, based on temperature and humidity information, movement of the movable rib made by the move section.

A recording apparatus includes a placement portion on which a medium is placed, a feeding portion that feeds the medium that is placed on the placement portion, a recording portion that has a liquid discharge portion that discharges liquid onto the medium that is fed by the feeding portion, a processing portion that executes pre-processing of the liquid discharge portion, and a control portion that performs control of the feeding portion and the processing portion or control of the feeding portion and the recording portion such that feeding of the medium and pre-processing are performed in parallel in a case where a recording start command is received in a state in which the processing portion faces the liquid discharge portion.

A recording apparatus includes a recording head that includes a nozzle row which is provided with a plurality of nozzles discharging liquid to a medium along a transporting direction, and executes recording as one pass by discharging the liquid from the nozzles in accordance with movement in a scanning direction intersecting the transporting direction, a transporting unit that transports the medium to a position facing the nozzle row, and a controller that is capable of acquiring information relating to a length of the medium in the transporting direction and controls the recording head and the transporting unit, in which the controller determines the nozzle being used for a recording operation as one pass in the beginning in accordance with the acquired length of the medium, and executes a heading operation for feeding the medium to a position facing the determined nozzle.

In a recording apparatus, one end section sides of first liquid supply tubes are connected to ink tanks which are provided to be able to be attached and detached from outer sections of a main housing. Other end section sides of second liquid supply tubes, where one end section sides are connected to a liquid ejecting head side which is provided in an inner section of the main housing, are connected to other end section sides of the first liquid supply tubes using connection members. Out of first connection sections which are provided in the connection members on the first liquid supply tubes side and second connection sections which are provided in the connection members on the second liquid supply tubes side, at least the first connection sections are provided so as to be positioned at outer sections of the main housing.

A mounting portion in which a first ink cartridge can be mounted, and a first mounting detection portion that can detect that the first ink cartridge is mounted in the mounting portion are included, and the first mounting detection portion can detect that a mounting unit in which a second ink cartridge can be mounted is mounted in the mounting portion.

A recording apparatus includes a recording head capable of ejecting ink to a sheet; a sheet cassette that holds the sheet; a transport unit that transports the sheet to the recording head; a chassis which contains the recording head and the transport unit and into which the sheet cassette is inserted; an insertion port which is formed in a side surface of the chassis and through which the sheet cassette is inserted; an ink container that contains the ink; a case which is mounted on at least one side surface adjacent to the side surface in which the insertion port of the chassis is formed and accommodates the ink container; and a supply unit (connection tube) that supplies the ink from the ink container to an inside of the chassis. A guard portion with higher rigidity than the case is formed on a lower side of the case.
