A platooning system executes automatic follow-up running in line with a predetermined intervehicle distance between adjacent vehicles from a leading vehicle, the platoon participating vehicles each comprising a driving force source, an automatic transmission capable of shifting to a plurality of gear stages each having a different gear ratio, and an in-vehicle control device automatically controlling output of the driving force source and the gear stages of the automatic transmission, the platooning system comprising a platoon control device connected via wireless communication to the platoon participating vehicles, for managing at least shifting of the automatic transmission, the platoon control device executing platoon shift control that shifts the automatic transmission via the in-vehicle control device in order from vehicles on tail side among the platoon participating vehicles in case of satisfying shift conditions previously defined to allow the driving force source to work in a proper working range.

Platooning system

A plurality of driving force transmitting components of the same kind is categorized into a plurality of groups depending on a frequency range with the loudest operation sound. A component selection device stores mapping data that is data that defines mapping learned by machine learning. When the user-related information is input as an input variable, the mapping outputs a value corresponding to the input variable as an output variable. The vehicle component selection method causes the component selection method to execute: an input process inputting the user-related information into the mapping as the input variable; a selection process selecting the group corresponding to the output variable output by the mapping from the groups; and a determination process determining the driving force transmitting component categorized into the group selected in the selection process as a component to be installed in the vehicle for the user identified by the user-related information.

Vehicle component selection method

A drive device installed in a vehicle includes a case including an electric motor chamber, a terminal block chamber, and a gear chamber, an electric motor, a terminal block, a speed reducer, and a hypoid gear. A first through hole is provided in a partition wall between the electric motor chamber and the terminal block chamber. A second through hole is provided in a partition wall between the terminal block chamber and the gear chamber. The electric motor includes a rotor shaft extending from the electric motor chamber through the first through hole, the terminal block chamber, and the second through hole, to the gear chamber. A gap between the rotor shaft and the second through hole is sealed by an oil seal. A first lubricating oil is accommodated in the electric motor chamber and the terminal block chamber. A second lubricating oil is accommodated in the gear chamber.

Drive device

The drive device comprises first and second motors comprising respective first and second rotary shafts. The drive device comprises first and second counter shafts connected to each of the first and second rotary shafts via first and second counter gears. The drive device comprises first and second transmission shafts connected to each of the first and second counter shafts via third and fourth counter gears. The drive device comprises first and second drive shafts connected to each of the first and second transmission shafts via first and second hypoid gears. The system includes: a sound-source search device for acquiring sound data by collecting and measuring a sound; an informing device for informing a sound measuring position in which the sound-source search device should be installed for collecting and measuring the sound; and a control device for acquiring a driving information related to a driving state of the vehicle upon generation of the noise. The control device extracts a sound-source candidate that is a candidate of the sound source causing the noise, based on the acquired driving information, and to cause the informing device to inform the sound measuring position that is set based on a predetermined relationship between the sound-source candidate and the sound measuring position. Also disclosed is a sound-source search method using the sound-source search device.

Driving apparatus for vehicle

A hydrogen concentration calculating process calculates a hydrogen concentration in a specific portion of a target region based on an operating state of an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine uses hydrogen as fuel. A downstream passage is a portion of an intake passage of the internal combustion engine that is downstream of a throttle valve. A connecting passage connects a crank chamber of the internal combustion engine to the downstream passage. The target region is a region including the crank chamber and the connecting passage. When a condition is met, in which the hydrogen concentration is greater than or equal to a predetermined determination value, a pressure reduction process causes a pressure in the downstream passage to be lower than that at a point in time when the condition is met.
